I can't be the only fan of Spartacus around here can I? Any discussion about the second season?
I haven't watched it yet but have the episode on the PC.
Are they going with a whole new cast this season?
I have heard vague things about it but I haven't decided to look much further into that lol.

Is this the same as Spartacus: Blood and Sand? I was thinking of looking into it, but I hadn't got around to doing so yet. I didn't know if it was any good or not.
It's not the second season, it's a prequel to the first that tells the story of the gladiator house. The reason for this release was due to the main actor getting cancer, and they needed to stall for his recovery. Sad to say though, he is not recovering so well, so they replaced him for season two, which is starting to be filmed.
Also, yeah, its pretty epic! Boobs and violence ftw!!!!
Blood and Sand was awesome! I'll check this out for sure.

Majority of the cast is the same as last season, just in different roles, so to speak. Crixus is just starting out as a gladiator, as is Ashur, and so forth. And yes, there are boobies in the first episode, lol.
I really don't look forward to this, a prequel for me just seems a little redundant, woo for you, more gladiators doing the same ***they did the first time. And also, "Oh dude I'm so watching SPARTACUS!!!!"...3 days later "Wtf spartacus doesn't even exist yet" /shutoff just imo
I watched Blood and Sands originally because I was like "frick yeah gladiators" and then I was like "8| so thats why it only comes on this channel"
I saw a wee (actually several weewees) bit more than I wanted to and I couldnt take it seriously because it made me laugh. Plus its Xena.
I made my mother watch it as a joke and now she loves it 8(
Anyway, it really sucks about the actor that plays Spartacus but its awesome that the creators are stalling for his recovery.

After watching Rome, it was hard to get into Spartacus.
They really went over the top with blood and sex in it. It just felt unnecessary.
Just curious, do the episodes get more interesting further into the show, or is it generally the same? I stopped watching it after the 4th episode. I really enjoyed Rome though, and would like to enjoy Spartacus.

but then I realized it's more hardcore than normal softcore porn but with a plot so I became fine with it.

For being a guy it has sex,blood and violence, couldn't ask for much more. The story isn't award winning but i still like it.
season finale is friday already only 6 epsoids this season so that kinda sucks........ watch shameless on showtime too thats a good one too
I imagine that the second season will be the start of the Third Servile War with Spartacus and Crixus being the generals because the show never introduced the other two generals (forget their names). And my guess would be that it would end with a split of forces, one led by Crixus which will continue fighting the Romans and then Spartacus' army trying to head north back to their homelands. I'm sure they would wanna try and make a third season and that seems like the spot in the war that would leave you with some anticipation for a third season.

I love Sparticus! Although Crixis in this season acts so funny during fights. The facial expressions crack me up.
I find it funny how they go in reverse from season 1 to 2. HOw the House of Batiatus rises and falls. pretty cool script :)

gods of the arena is season 2 but it is a prequel of blood and sand, and its pretty cool seeing most of the original characters in an earlier point and how they got to where they currently are. but i will miss the old spartacus actor. he was a pimp.
