*** arguments, repeated over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over LIKE THIS ONE have caused me far more hardship and difficulty than any other aspect of religion or lack of religion.

Look:
1. You aren't going to "solve" anything.
2. No one really cares who you are, your word carries zero weight on the internet.
3. You've never convinced anyone that you are right about this.
4. You're not convincing anyone that you are right about this.
5. You're not going to convince anyone that you are right about this.

It's a good thing that every time a non-religious person says something stupid there isn't a similar spewing of garbage - the internet would *** collapse under the weight of "me vs you" religious posturing and uninformed, prejudiced rhetoric spewing.

JUST STOP. STOP. DON'T *** DO IT. YOU ALWAYS COME ACROSS AS INTOLERANT ***. ALL OF YOU. JUST STOP. *** ***, people, DO SOMETHING ELSE.

I find it funny how the Pope says

Pope said:
"The universe is not the result of chance, as some would want to make us believe,"

That's not to say science has had its degree of assertion or forthcoming as things being fact or fiction; but the general nature of science is to bring forth an idea, question or theory, create hypothesis and support it with tests and tangible evidence from those given results and give the option of accepting it for what it is. It's always open to interpretation and further questioning/testing thus improving to greater discovery and knowledge from thereon.

Religion rather has this great sense of truth or absolution imposed upon its followers. This alone is a great factor why I shy away and disassociate from religion of any kind.

I picked up on that line right away, also.

Last time I checked, atheists weren't trying to have the bible re-written to include evolution.

Some Christians, on the other hand, are literally trying to have our textbooks re-written to include creationism as a "scientific" theory, despite the fact that it is anything but a "scientific" theory.

So, who is trying to make who believe, exactly?? o,O

No, no, by YOUR quoted definition of a Christian, which you are claiming is correct, Muslims are Christians.

A Christian is someone who believes in the teachings of Jesus Christ.
Muslims believe in the teachings of Jesus Christ.
Muslims are not Christians.

Do you see your error yet? I've made it as simple and clear as I possibly can.

Actually Muslims believe that Mohammad is the last prophet of god and that Moses and Jesus were merely interpreting the words of god, whereas god spoke directly through Mohammad.

That's how it was explained to me anyways.
They believe in the teachings of Jesus, the relevant point here.

Yeah, in Islam Jesus, etc. are prophets, but Mohammad was the last one.

Spic, how are you trying to clutch at straws now? I'm not enforcing MY definition of a Christian at all and I PROVED that the one you quoted was incorrect, so do you now understand why I dismiss other Abrahamic as not Christian?

@Chaosx: Yeah.. but.. what's the relevance? We're talking about Christianity here.

Let's keep on topic here.

Catholicism is starting to recognize evolution and is now targeting things such as the big bang theory (not the tv show).

Yes, but in Islam his message has been "corrupted", and thus they do not follow his teachings because while they recognize him as a prophet of your god they do not believe what he said as his teachings were "corrupted".
They believe in all the same teachings of humility, morality and going to the Kingdom of God etc, they only disagree with him being the son of god/god/equivalent to god and that he is our Lord and Saviour.

You "proved" nothing, and what you attempted to disprove a Webster definition that you must believe goes through no scrutiny to be published showed you only have a partial understanding of the nature of jesus in islolm.
So you're arrogant too? How did I NOT disprove it entirely with the Islam reference? Also it was what YOU used to support your point, not me, I would have corrected you wherever it was from. I know and understand all Islamic theology and doctrine, how have I shown otherwise?

How I am intolerant by being intrigued by the catholic church acknowledging the big bang theory, evolution, and coming out and saying that Genesis is not to be taken literally?

The only thing new they are likely to be inclined to is a saint, child, or controversy.

or a way to increase revenues?
