It's like trying to get a HELP I AM TRAPPED IN 2006 PLEASE SEND A TIME MACHINE robot to stand things up straight or stack neatly. It just does not end well. I don't really ever touch any of the decorations in any of my homes. If anything, I'm picking them up to sell off to my wife. I love my barren homes. xD Artemicion said: » Has anyone else entered "I don't give a ***" mode and killed any Thalmor, Stormcloak or Legion soldier they come across? I'm curious if killing imperials or stormcloaks while sided with them (outside of missions) will affect anything. I only kill what attacks me first (unless they are a quest target). I will go into stormcloak camps and wait for them to get all mad and attack me though. :D Artemicion said: » WTF, a courier just ran up to me without any clothes or armor at all except for his hat to deliver me that letter from a friend. Freaked me out cause he's freakin naked and runs up to me in a cut-scene manner >___> Where did his clothes go?! Maybe he just liked feeling the crisp breeze between his knees. Either that or his clothes were slowing him down and causing him to deliver messages late. /shrug Hey I have a question about the passage of time in this game. Does it matter at all? Is it one of those things where if you don't get to a certain point by x number of days things will be different? Also, what's the deal with sleep? Is it necessary in any way and how specifically does the number of hours you choose to sleep effect you?
hmmm... found my most annoying bug. since new patch, weapon racks hang stuff up horinzontally. like i stick claymore on it, claymore sticks out 5 feet into room.

As far as things like "after 50 days you will be approached by a messenger" or something... no, not as far as I can tell. All random occurrences in the game are random, and things like Dragons getting harder is due to your level gain. If you sleep for a certain period of time (I think at least 8 hours) you get a "well-rested" bonus which improves your skill rate gain. Depending on the bed, you can receive varying %'s of well rested. I think bed rolls & hay piles are 5%, nice beds are 10%, something like that. The "well-rested" bonus will last 8 game hours. Also, if you have the lover stone (15% skill rate gain to all) or you have the disease for being a warewolf, you cannot get well-rested bonus. Everytime i hear it, i'm just like "PLEASE, OH GOD NO!" it's going to drive me insane lol.
Lover's comfort :o cool. I still haven't messed around with the marriage thing yet

what did 1.3 fix? as far as i have seen not one thing. So I'm curious. What's your favorite Shout in game? I seem to be partial to Whirlwind Sprint.

Update 1.3 Notes (all platforms unless specified) Fixed Radiant Story incorrectly filling certain roles Fixed magic resistances not calculating properly Fixed issue with placing books on bookshelves inside player purchased homes Fixed dragon animation issues with saving and loading Fixed Y-look input to scale correctly with framerate elemental fury, except now im using enchanting weapons, so i guess dragonrend?
Anyone else on PS3 get an issue where it loads forever and just endlessly gives you bits of advice/lore?
I hit the PS button, but then I got the little clock and eventually a fade to black... Music is still playing ;/ i've had it freeze on the load screen before, you can usually tell because it wont have the icy wind on the bottom of the screen if it freezes

I hit the PS button, but then I got the little clock and eventually a fade to black... Music is still playing ;/ Yes. I believe it's somehow related to the autosave feature because I haven't had the issue since turning autosave off. Well, I've found a way to make this game hysterically fun again (sorry people not on pc :<). Removed all my one handed+ from my paladin type character, consoled myself to level 100 and installed:
http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=1269 and http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=3829 The first increases the level calculations of mobs to 1.8x your level, the second basically reworks dragons total base HP and attack modifications. With 3587 armor (yes thats so far beyond the cap it isnt funny, abusing the Ancient Knowledge glitch on a set of Legendary daedric) all +hp/+hp regen and +stamnia/+stamina regen enchants, I spent 20 minutes and about 15 potions attempting to kill the new "high tier" dragon from the deadly dragons mod. My mres is -92% iirc (mara, alteration perk x3, brenton blood and lord stone) and breath will truck through nearly 1k hp without any issues. One melee is about 250-300 damage, even with that armor rating. Sweating bullets every time I hear a dragon over head now.... One swing from a 700~ dmg daedric sword is about equal to the damage done to an anicent dragon from a shield bash without these mods. Really wish Bethseda would make these type of improvements to the game themselves, for the corner stone mob of the game, after lv50 dragons are basically more of a waste of time (between them aggroing everything but you unless you hit dragonrend as they fly in, and the fact that after you have every shout... souls become useless Im not sure what they were going for in a long/complete playthrough) than something you actively go hunting for. Bismarck.Magnuss said: » So I'm curious. What's your favorite Shout in game? I seem to be partial to Whirlwind Sprint. Aura Whisper is by far my most used shout, although every character I play is a sneaky type. I also love the Slow Time one :D Bahamut.Echojin said: » Bismarck.Magnuss said: » So I'm curious. I haven't upgraded since it lengthens the recast I think lol and I spam it way to much to have the recast any longer lol. kenshynofshiva said: » Bahamut.Echojin said: » Bismarck.Magnuss said: » So I'm curious. * Sabrecat * Snow Sabrecat * Wolf * Ice Wolf * Bear * Snow Bear * Chaurus * Chaurus Reaper * Frostbite Spider * Large Frostbite Spider * Skeever * Dog * Wisp * Fox * Snow Fox Ever since I fully upgraded my daedric armor set and bow, the game has been super easy mode. Never touched the game again since then :( I am level 45 and does the game get harder in later levels? or do I need to start over again. I don't feel like doing that though.
Best thing you can do to keep the game challenging is not turning your character into a demigod, like not using smithing and enchanting to make a legendary daedric set that caps your defence and makes you near immune to magic lol.
Finally got Skyrim for the 360 (lol) unsure if I want to keep my illegitimate copy on my PC or free up some space.
Probably keep it :| Siren.Kunimatsu said: » Best thing you can do to keep the game challenging is not turning your character into a demigod, like not using smithing and enchanting to make a legendary daedric set that caps your defence and makes you near immune to magic lol. Funny how peeps can't have any self control and blame the devs cause they can't not abuse the system so they cry about it cause others do lol. It's like skyrim a MMO that needs balance and nerfs roflmao cause you can't control your self because someones toon in the world is better than yours lol. Hearing people go out of their way to break and exploit the crafting system, making ridiculously powerful builds to the point of silliness, and then complain it's too easy... Could you imagine how difficult the game would be if the game was "challenging" to the people who break and exploit it? Us regular players wouldn't stand a chance! |
