The original Japanese version of the game wasn't just "mistranslated," it was basically entirely in Chinese poorly grafted back to Japanese. It used Chinese characters and terms that don't even exist in the language.
When Japanese players complained, they redid it all by katakana-izing the English version of the game back into Japanese. Where it's now sometimes almost as bad, just from the other direction. =)
To this day, comments by the developers as well as the release notes are often clearly not written by someone with Japanese as a first language, and the account page and other parts of the game are simply baffling in their terminology.
Trust me,
"to create characters on your service account, you must possess automatically continuous options" sounds just as unnatural in Japanese as it does in English.
