Xbox 360 Unusually Crashing

I continuously freeze up every 5-10 min when being in game. A few of my buddies have a similar problem. This only started to occur after the update. Anyone else have problems like this ?? :( I couldn't even play last night was so frustrating.

I had that problem when i talked to any of the new NPCs :(
idk if it was just the massive lag around them or what

I had the same problem too. I log my character and i freeze 2/3 min after the beginning... I don't know what's happenning really...

it's a 360, it always crashes.

My fiance's 360 started doing this when he tried to play after the update, it was fine before that and had never crashed except in Besieged.

same.spent 3 hours in abyssea to hit 90 with no problems but once i left its been freezing every 30-60min or so (my xbox is a slim and only 4 months old and never frozen before today) thought it was strange but after reading this post it seems im not alone :(

probably a bug in the code that's causing the xbox's cpu to lock up or something...

Mine did it once last night. It wasnt the normal freeze though. Normally I can pretty much tell when its about to happen; judging from the lag, send/recieve rate and just being in abyssea. But this time it just froze out of no where in Bastok mines. I hope it isnt a bug.

yay add me to the list of people with fail boxes. after having several issues with getting the update to even start on my 360, last night at around 10PM EST it finally started to work so i went to bed hoping it would be done when i got up.

Sure enough i was happy to see the update was complete. my happiness was then crushed by constant freezing... i cant even move sometimes before i freeze. Worst part is im standing at Maat so there is always a large group of people there spamming the new emotes.

Get to see a bunch of 90s running around spamming emotes and then BAM frozen.. where is the emergency mainty? I was gonna call a GM to let em know but i can't even stay on longer then 30 seconds lol

Btw, my 360 has never crashed or frozen and ive been playing on this one since 2007. i just cant do besieged lol

Mine has been good as of late. But last night in Abyssea-Attohwa, a few people lined up and were doing their new emotes and I froze :(
This is the 1st time I've frozen outside of Besieged.

I haven't been able to spend more than 10 minutes online before my bawx freezes up. I hope there is a maintenance in the works for 360 players. :(

last night i was able to get to abyssea - attohwa np, get level 90 np, farm up chests np, get 10 merits np, but as soon as I came back from job change and merit spending, i freeze twice in 10 min, then today i froze 4 times in port jueno, and only port jueno.

Last night I froze maybe 1-2 times then I was good for the rest of the night, today was non stop constant freezing.

Im on xbox i froze everytime i used composure in abyssea tahrongi this morning so i just left and went afk in jueno came back and it froze.. its been fine since

same problem here. Last night I couldn't even get out of Jeuno to get to a party, soon as I logged in I take 3 steps and freeze again! But as Ken stated, after 3-4 freezes it was ok rest of night. Might have just been the traffic, but as we all know there are some impending emergency updates coming...

sorry, but in my experiances ... I did not like the 360 at all, console was ... ok? customer service ... good luck.

I think I still owe microsoft like 40 bucks from a *** up on their end, that they won't grow the balls and take the blame for their shitty billing system.

Mine just froze up after 5 minutes after logging in in Port Jeuno. Also yesterday it froze up shortly after a fresh restart in one of the new Aby areas.. there weren't many people around though when it did it that time.

Mine occurred this morning when talking to OP warp NPC in N Sandy. Restarted, went to Xarca and S Gusta Maws, did CS just fine and I bought the cruor items. Logged out to go to work.

Just came here to add my experience to the chorus. I had no issues in the new abyssea zones at all. I went to Grauberg [A] and had a grand old time getting the conflux activated, even killed some crabs for the new ops. Zone OUT of abyssea and into a nearly empty North Gustaberg, and bam! Frozen.

This happened several times last night, so I gave up. Logged in this morning and warped back to Port Jeuno. Bam! Frozen. The only times I've ever locked up are in the 7+ besieged and occasionally in a very large campaign battle.

i blame the new emotes lol need something to be mad at and no one seems to have any answers. and the only thing i have seen while freezing is people spamming emotes near me lol

on the bright side a few of my 360 friends said their freezing just randomly stopped on its own and have been fine for a good 2 hours. but i myself just froze again while sitting in MH in sandy... so idk.

getting annoyed that there is no sign of emergency mainty soon.

Same here i just go npc break-capped to 90 NPC then go mh change for ready seking zone port jeuno it's frozen :(

on the contrary, consoles are worlds more stable than a pc.

Also the failbox 360 has known hardware design flaws, which is an epic Microsoft fail...

Your problem is clear to me and the solution is ridiculously simple. Unfortunately the technical support plan you purchased doesn't cover this particular issue and I'm sorry to say I can offer no help to you whatsoever. Your plan only allows for mocking ridicule (see above)and the taunting jibes of your peers. I can offer sarcastic techincal support, like "I dunno Tiger Woods but the way it lies on the stand there and with very little wind...if it were me I would bash it with a 9 iron". Also, you doomed yourself naming your toon "Unstopable" that was just asking for it right there.

Wow.. 3rd time today.. I'm trying to turn in magian staff to moogle. Got up to him, froze. Restarted: literally right after logging in and trading staff, it froze again! Why do they have to put everything in the same place?!

and again... looks like i'm stuck in front of the moogle in ru'lude gardens.. wtf

Mines froze this morning in Jeuno, then it froze in lower jeuno and once i logged in it froze w/i 30 seconds. =/
