I actually still had most of the other bag left. But I like rice with stuff and omg so cheaps. But yeah bought like 6 lbs of lean ground beef for under $18. 12 pack of croissants $5.

I end up buying a bunch of the muffins and having to send half of them to work with the husband-hume so I can keep my plumbers fat and happy too lol or freeze half the pack so I can defrost and nom at a later date.
I'm in love with their croissants and oatmeal + raisin cookies :Q

well i dont go that far
but i still feel bad when i toss out food or other people do
i feel like food is badly distributed amongst everyone.

and if i know something is going to go bad before i eat it i give it off to a neighbor, thats what i did when i lived alone, my mom doesn't appreciate that idea and prefers to toss out ;/

One trick I picked up in college to save freezer space was to pre-cook meals if I was short of room. Like.. making a curry for example. You could pop each serving into ziplock bag and freeze it, it'll keep for -months- and take up much less space than all the ingredients would if they were not cooked. It works on stuff that's nearing expiration date too like ground beef etc... and makes you very lazy cook >_> since then every nice meal is ready after 5~min in the microwave xD
