Troubleshootin

Hello,

I just bought/downloaded 14, and when I try to open it from the Icon/ start menu, it crashes and closes it.

I tried re-installing it with no success. Anyone have this problem, or know how to fix it?

Does your computer meet the minimum requirements?

I know that if you have less than 512MB of VRAM, you won't even be able to run the updater.

Yea i definately should. Its a factory bought Alienware Aurora-R2 only a few months old.
When i switched over to Windows 7 I (my friend, im computer HELP I AM TRAPPED IN 2006 PLEASE SEND A TIME MACHINE) had to re-install some drivers, i'm thinkning he missed one or sometihng. I also have problems playing dvd's if thats any help lol. Thanks for the response so far : )

Did you install Direct X?

Yea Direct X is installed. Im able to play 11 fine.. weirdd

Video card drivers up to date? If not, go download them manually (do not use auto updating of any kind) uninstall all things pertaining to your video card, restart your computer, install using the file you just downloaded, restart again.
