so, with all the new stuff in abyssea, and being able to port to six zones for 200cruor. I don't see the need of having hp set in whitegate anymore.

I haven't had my HP in whitegate for years. I've always been in Bastok mines, immediate access to OP, quick run through MH and port to get to whitegate, OP to qufim island and run to get to Jeuno.
Now I'm in port Jeuno and it's even easier.

I've never had my HP in whitegate. It's always been port windy by my mh. Used to kinda suck when the OP guy was on the other side of zone by now he is just nearby it's awesome. I rarely have a need to actually go to jueno and Have the earring so no real point for me to hp there

Mine has almost always been Jeuno. If it wasn't Jeuno, it was at Sandy for a particular reason (doing Sandy missions for example). I despise Whitegate and only go there when going to Einherjar.

I've never understood the logic in having HP in whitegate. My HP has been in jeuno for over a year now. It takes 30 seconds to get from jeuno to wg, so there's no point.

I didn't think you could warp right from PJ to WG ... had to go through a main city first?

I've had my HP set in Port Windurst for the last 9-12 months, though. Since Horst NPC was added my HP is now Port Jeuno.

are you sure its done? what does the NPC say in upper jeuno when you talk to him.... is the quest tag for wildcat/jueno under current or completed

the WG warp NPC as part of wild cat is in Upper jueno, right by the zone to battilia downs
After ToAU, Jeuno became mulesville. Nothing but naked anon players, or the occassional galka in event armor named Sirfartsalot. Taru named Jewbagel, etc.

My home point has been Lower Jeuno for ages. The main three places I went were Jeuno, Whitegate, and wherever my home nation was at the time (for several months and probably from now on, Sandy.) From Jeuno, with tabs you can go home whenever you want, and the guy in upper will teleport you to Whitegate whenever you want.
You could say the same for Whitegate, since you can pay the taru to teleport you home or to Jeuno. But I never liked that much because Whitegate is overcrowded and my lag there gets horrific.
From your home nation, you could get to Whitegate just as fast as you could from Jeuno, but you couldn't get to Jeuno as quickly because you'd have to ride the airship or whatnot.

try trading him 300gil and see what it does.... if its under completed, then he should tele you

every once in a while ill ride the airship just for shits and giggles... but with all the warping around that is offered today, you can get anywhere and everywhere in under 5min anyway.. most places alot sooner than that
Mine was whatever my nation was atm. Only had WG when I first started since I was there to party all the time.

Only reason I ever had hp in wg was because even if it was rare, every now and then someone actually shouted for something I needed/wated.
Now it'll stay in port jeuno! no more silver pieces, that damn wg taru should have enough so that even his grand children never have to work.
Funny you should post about this because last night I realized the exact same thing. My HP has been either WG or Bastok Mines. Now, it will be Port Jeuno. :)

The main silv coin mule in jeuno is there 24/7, Sayukichan. She's the cheapest 9/10, and I've seen the alt char who items her long time ago, his gear wasn't anything to write home about, but now I think.he is closing in on a relic. Last I saw anyways. But I bet these last few months have neem a fortune for him.
As for myself I just came to grip, and bought a stack of silver coins for around 75k, versus 1k each+ tax from a mule.
