It was 3/4 for us the last run, and dropped fairly easily in previous runs, too. Generally speaking, Abyssea has been very generous with drops for us on lower tier items such as the Thew Bomblet, Mesmeric Cape, etc. (It was kinda funny; back when Mesmeric Cape was 1 mil, we practically forced of our members who occasionally uses BRD to grab it because everyone else who has BRD already got one--we were too lazy to sell and split. lol.)

Like the new Amoeban / Conchshellwhore items, of which you need 3 to complete a certain quest, currently about 50k+, they have like 50% Drop rate and you can Despoil them.

As a THF thats your best bet =P run up to one of the new mobs > Despoil > gtfo > rinse/repeat!

Take that back. I need Murex Spicules for my BLU AF3+1 legs, and I've despoiled 30 in a row and gotten 0 items off them. 50% my ***!

I dismantled the lot of them! But I ran out of stones entirely. At least I never have to fight another again, now to conserve my stones and try to get BLU legs/BLM head.

What jobs do you have? The NMs all drop 4 seals each, it's not hard to find some other people interested in the 3 other seals. The games always been like this. You want something bad enough? You better get to working for it. If you show commitment to it, you'll get it soon enough. No need to spend your gil on easy to obtain items and then come Q.Q that you can't make said gil. You're obviously spending it wrong, and that's nobodies fault but yours.

That's just random crappy luck. I've had good luck with thew bomblets and witchstones. Sold 2 of each so far, only 7 pops each.
