Swift Belt - Fomor Hate

Hello all... anyone have info about how many fomors we need to kill, for maximum hate to spawn swift belt NM?
Solo vs Party fomor kill... does it affect the fomor hate that we get if we solo or when we party?

It doesn't affect Fomor Hate whether you kill in a party or not.

Around thirty Fomors was usually enough when we did Swift Belt runs - May vary depending on which NM you're popping, I honestly can't say for sure.

Best way to get your hate is kill the formor in Lufaise Meadows, refer to the guide in wiki.

There's like 3 Camps, if you kill all of the formor those camps 1-2 times during the window where they'll have spawned you'll have enough hate.

If you're killing the mobs in zone, you're looking at somewhere between 30-50 mobs. I know that seems like a lot, but I tried keeping a count only to lose it somewhere during a 12 man run. Point is, use a 75 job and unleash hell. It's just a lot easier to do it that way beforehand.

yeah... thats what i thought, last week i soloed the fomors at Lufaise, and killed abt 20-25, and then a few more in sacrarium, and was able to pop the NM. Last night however, killing 30+ in sacrarium with no success lol... My heart is racing T_T. Thanks 4 the info Malekith. Will try at lufaise from now

It's supposed to work but in all my fails, I'm for thinking no effect. However I know it's better to have it than not...

Well, i joined a pickup belt run the other day. Had to farm the codices then tried NM but didnt have enough hate. I had full hate before we went in to the aquaducts, killed about 15~ Tauri for 3 codex. Killed a bunch of fomor's too. When we left i did not have full hate anymore. We were only a pt of 7, so we just stayed in Sacrarium. It got late and we decided to gather another day.

Today, we ended up with 8 of us. Got down to the Hume room. 5 of us Hume. Most of us had hate, turns out we got just enough right before we disbanded. I went first and no drop. Second-drop, third-no drop, fourth-drop. We then decided to try the others; mithra, taru and elvan. Mithra dropped, easy fight. Before the taru fight we got into an alliance with another pt. The Taru was evil and kicked our @$$, but he gave it up in the end. We recoverd and proceeded to the elvan, and he beat us up too. Got the drop. ^^ After recovering, we head to the hume for one last fight, unprepared he proceeded to beat on us as well, but he dropped again. So a wonderful 6/8. Main pt was NIN-NIN-RDM-BLU-DRG/THF(me)-BLU The other pt had a few different jobs, but most helpful were PLD and WHM. Everyone helped, but we couldnt do it w/o those two jobs.
In the end, we did have TH2, didnt try anything fancy, and went 6/8. So dont give up!

I finally got my swiftbelt! I went 1/38 on the drop over the course of a calendar year... Thank you's go to the following people: Scapular, Byakugga, Rue, Farmdog, Deathsend, Maliris, and especially Ars who popped for me!

From the point of having absolutely no hate, to having enough hate to pop the NM, it will take 35 Fomor kills.

from what ive heard killing taurus orcs bugards and gigas in that region lowers your fomor hates so farming codex can make it take a bit longer to pop.. also max hate in tav and max hate in sac are 2 different things.. max hate in tav seems to be alittle less then needed to pop NMs.. and in my experience hume seems to be easiest with worst drop rate.. though i have been told they have same drop rate ive seen more drop from the others then the hume

IF you have max hate according to safehold it's <10 mobs in the Sac that you'll need to kill before you have 3rd Tier hate.

Honestly, I can tell you they're all about equal. Granted I'm a statistical nightmarish outlier but from what I've tracked from all the runs I've been on. It's about 27% give or take 5% in either direction.

Since hume's done more often, there's more numbers there... however all 5 NM's are about equal in strength, you just need a balanced pt.

Just wondering, since the guide on wiki only talks about lufaise and sacrarium fomor killing for hate, does phomenia work just the same?

Trying to get my hate back up and dont really fancy waiting till night in lufaise and the sacrarium ones are too strong for me to kill.

gaining hate in the aquaducts is nice because the subligar drop much, much, much more easily there. I killed 30 fomor in Sacrarium with TH3, and not a single subligar. Went to Aquaducts and had every job's subligar within 30 minutes.

45 exactly, hate decays over time, and all noobs don't check their hate inside sacrarium.

best thing to do.. go with AOE WS.. pull a load of nobs.. i mean noobs.. (aka fomors) and AOE WS.. ideally a full room makes life a HELL of a lot easier cos althought its only like 40..
