Still no joy with Liks, which is now @ 733. Combined I think I might be challenging a few of the top contenders but it's a relief to at least have half. All it will take to finish is a lucky Lik!

Hahahaha. I did this. I remember trading a few Liks years ago and I checked a few times to make sure it wasn't there somewhere.
I just wanted to share my luck (if you can call it that) with my items so people don't feel so bad. I went 1/350 gugs which was not so bad. Then I went 1/1957 liks...yeah... So cheer up, it could be worse!
People should go trade in some Liks. After reading about his 1/1957 I got mine a few minutes after. He's good luck!
I went 1/4 from Lik, and 1/8 from Gugs. I had it displayed in my bazaar message for a while, then I realized that nobody gave a ***lol. But now I get a chance to toot my horn again. GL everyone.

I have no horns to toot... getting wood up now so I can start catching Liks and Gugs. I don't have the gil to throw at AH for them.
1/136 Gugs 1/141 Lik for my mule. Second time around was so much easier as I could fish them up without rod breaking.

Got Saber Shoot yesterday on pretty much 2nd day of trying.

Spam bought loads of fish though so ended up with 45 Gugs and 60 Liks to spare lol.

I shudder thinking about the numbers here... heck I'm only 3.5k into my Lu Shang. XD
Better to have lots of Fish to get some of your money back than have traded them all in and not gotten your Opal Silk! And congratulations!
I'm a pretty lucky character, and I'm gonna brag a little bit lol...
I was 1/38 on Liks and 1/42 on Gugs. That's very lucky for the Ebisu quest, but my luck didn't keep me from getting that last KI -JUST- after conquest lol, so I had to wait a full week to get the rod. Not a big deal considering though.

THIS JUST IN: My wife went 1/123 on Gugs, and 1/19 on Liks. We're thinking about playing the lotto next.
Got pretty lucky on this. 1/2 on gugs and somewhere around 1/89 on liks. Can't believe how bad some people have had it >.<

Gugs and Liks are about the only things I have luck with in this game. My main and both of my mules needed a cumulative total of under 300 fish to get all of the silks and shoots... forget about puffin rings and ***though.

I was getting frustrated but then when I read some other bad luck I don't feel so bad lol. Just doing 40 Gugs at a time to keep track of Gil/Fish since roughly 1M 40 fish. Happy I got lucky on Silk though.

While it doesn't seem much, it was a painful experience watching my whole gil sink away on liks :( Hold my hand, I feel your pain! Trading these fish seemed like an addiction to me, as long as I had money I needed to get more to trade...
