Ok so i just logged in to check some stuff on AH. As i am running there i here a strange little voice tell me "You have been examined." I was like WTF am i hearing things...then i get incoming tell, incoming wave. Now either all this has been in the game since i started playing and i never realized it, or they had to of just added it not very long ago.

Hit your console button (mine is Insert) and it will give you list of loaded plugins. If Chatmon is loaded, just type unload Chatmon in the console.

Also, you think it is odd at first, but you get used to it after awhile tbh, ChatMon is worth using for the filtering properites, pretty sure you can stop it telling you about examinations, tells etc too.

Also, you can just delete the Chatmon.dll file in

/C:/Program Files/Windower/Plugins.

Or if you want to keep chatmon, but not have to keep typing in unload chatmon. Go into scripts and find the area where it has a bunch of "load ____" things. Find the one that says load chatmon, and erase it.

I'd keep chatmon for the sake of RMT filters even though some slip through time to time.

I'm pretty sure you can disable the audio notifications in the ini setup file.

Kinda nice to have around for when you're LFP and semi-afk cleaning the house or whatever. Just crank your speakers while you're gone :x

You can have a little bell ding when you get a /tell. That's what I did. I disabled chatmon almost immediately cause it was annoying as ***. Was even worse than the chocobo kweh I used for a /tell ding.

Or you can keep it for just such an occasion and edit the init script file and erase the auto load commands for chatmon.

If you were so inclined you could route the given warnings to a different audio file so it plays something more to your liking.

Would totally make being examined into the Metal Gear alert.

I like chatmon, very convenient for if you're away from your pc but want to know if you get a tell or whatever.

If you want to turn it off though:
program files > windower > scripts > init.txt, just scroll down to where you see all your plugins listed as "load Plugin" and put a // right in front of "load Chatmon".

If you like having it around though, just do what I do:
program files > windower > plugins > chatmon.xml, right at the top where it says "settings" and the DisableOnFocus="false" line, change "false" to "true". Then while afk just focus on another window and keep FF running in the background. Also works if I'm doing something else on the pc while the game is running. :3

I love chatmon <3

I have it set to recognize me as mytoy, toy, and *** (but not joytoy :P).

When a roll wears off, it plays "Roll the dice for meeeee~!" (from Fences - Phoenix).

When a samba effect wears off, it plays "D-d-d-dance or die!" (from Dance or Die - Family Force 5).

When sneak/invis/visitant/etc. are about to wear off, it makes a "clash" noise.

When I get a skill-up it makes this cool click noise. (It makes the moment even more exciting!)

It's pretty awesome once you edit the xml to your liking.

I suck at XML, would you mind showing me how to get into the finer details of alert systematics and the triggers for them?

So it's simply a matter of creating text/phrase based triggers huh? Is there a way to condition it into modes of chat ie: shout, linkshell, party only?
