I didn't like FF8 at all, but yes, that quote is definitely one of the best in the series.

For the longest time VIII was my favourite, due to the nature of the storyline, and mature story telling in contrast to the previous games in the series (Plus the Characters, weapons and Music was top notch).

I mean I still love VIII and it's definitely in my top 3. I've never understood the gigantic hate with it.

Which are the two reasons I like Squall. I really understand Squalls persona because I think a lot myself, I mean I'm in my head 'most' of the time and Squall is the same. As for being emotional, It's nice to see the character coming through. I've seen a lot of people call him 'emo' because he says 'whatever' a lot.

Didn't like the guardian force system, didn't like the magic draw system, didn't like the inaccessibility at the end...there are a few other things too, but alas, my reason isn't because "I think squall is emo" at least.
