ores are dropped from abyssea, its not just the gardeners.

WTH is going on here? Certian ores are getting dropped in abyssea and are now dropping in price???
I saw one drop in mine this morning err last night it was..

More ores in circulation, more normal people selling them off cheaper to get rid of them faster.

Also, the fact that until now, you had to grow ore from sapplings, which either meant buying them, or growing them from cuttings, which meant a lot of time.

Can i just ask a stupid question and ask why is this all going on? I used to grow ORES, but it was time consuming. Now I just sell sapplings and gold beastcoins.

I got an earth ore from abyssea not too long ago. Gardeners are gonna be selling less of them because they're pretty frequent drops in certain places now which is causing the prices to drop.
SE fault.... this is a serious injury to all the gardeners...

I dunno, I gardened rice for my cooking lol I was never patient enough to garden the ores
Spence.. I was just using the tree cuttings to make gold beastcoins, which ppl still melt down for gold.

The ore prices were going to drop anyway. NQ and HQ staves are being slowly replaced by the new TotM Staves, so crafters sure as hell aren't going to pay a premium on a crappy synth unless they're skilling up. Abyssea just made your time come sooner than it normally would have.

Ores and Angelskins are dropping in abundance from Abyssea. Add those to the number of them already on the AH from farmers and crafters and the prices are gonna plummet. Angel skin was what 800k a month ago? Now its steady at 180k.
Just gotta find a new way to make money. With new expansions comes new opportunities.

agreed, gardening is just not that worth it anymore... plus back when I did it I forgot to check that crap a lot and it always died on me. =/
the angel skin price cut is good and bad in my opinion. Good in a sense that it was the one place where people could bot the ***out of them and make really good money now I can't think anywhere else in the game people can bot so easily to cheat for there gil. And it's bad for the people that farmed them legitimatly.

Basic supply and demand. What's the sense in holding on to something that has no value to you? If 30 other people are trying to sell at a certain price for several days, the demand doesn't meet the supply at that price. People realize this and they reduce the price to fuel the market, hoping that buyers will be more willing to buy more product at the lower price. Add in the factor of AH tax and you completely discourage sellers from lingering their goods at a price that no one will buy.

Probably not a very good idea to question someone else's intelligence while showing the lack of your own within the same statement.
People undercut to sell items more quickly. It's influenced by MANY factors, but that's the end result everyone that does it is looking for.

Even if you're not on ores, gardening is still pretty profitable and less hit/miss/time consuming than ores e_e
Read: Rice, chocobo foods, NPCables, fungii etc
Even without an army of mules it's possible to make a decent amount with minimum time invested if you choose your crop right, so whining about ores is kinda silly ><. All it takes is 5mins and a little research to find something new and profitable X____x.

And with crop that grows in a short time it's easy to rotate what you grow each week so that you don't flood the market~
