As for the whole tank thing, you are pretty much there to cover your teammates ***. Lots of times I'd have to run in and distract 3 or 4 enemies who were dumb enough to focus me while the rest of my team ran away. You also serve as a harasser in the laning phase and the first one to rush in headfirst when you charge forward. I've had some awesome games as Cho'Gath because of just a well coordinated team.

As a tank, you feed kills to the carries while also taking all the focus off of them. If your like 0/3/30 as a tank, Congrats, you did your job well.
Morde got nerfed into the ground. Before they nerfed him though, he was one of the hardest people for me to kill. I usually play AD carries like MF or Cait.

the build doesn't even bother me. it's when they ace us and she runs out to meet them in the jungle instead of defend the base.
All Irelia ever needs for damage is Trinity Force D:
