a lot of things are easy to do dodge, but still do well. i don't know how many times i've died cause of morgana's stupid ball of lame. 1v1 i see it coming, but someone is gonna get hit with it in a team fight. xerath is good for pushing people back from towers. i like him.
I still have no idea how his ult works

Xerath can be easily dodged if you're paying attention. I'm still not convinced he's worth buying either. :/

That and Xerath can be pretty much ***in pvp<.< (Banshee's Veil would block his stun combo.)
should pull up a team of people you know to pvp other people. bots are one thing, but you learn other strategies vs live people. you can think of them as bots, and ignore them :P
imo, i find playing against a live opponent better, because they can be guided into traps where as an AI will just avoid.

Yeah, I'm kinda so-so at pvp (group I normally pvp with, I always end up solo laning, while it gave me a good grasp on how to safely harass people, it kinda sucks laning alone! XD)
Why does it suck laning alone? I mean, eventually you're out of lane and playing as a group anyway. Solo laning means you get beefy faster!

im lvl 10, almost 11.
solo laning isnt bad as long as you arent miss-matched vs your opponent, since makes farming easier and not competitive

Idk if it's just me but, I suck against ranged characters. (Jax can leap-attack me.) Given that morde is kinda weakish early on as well doesn't help!
I'd suggest finding out if you have to solo lane before picking your champ then. :P
9/10 I have solo lane. But up till Xerath only champs I've used/been good with are Mordekaiser and Master Yi. :P (Alistar too, but meh, Amumu does most of our tanking.)
My worst miss-matches so far is Yi, and that vampirehunter looking chick with the crossbow
I pretty much facepalm when I'm faced anyone ranged. :| Not Xerath. Xerath has to be the easiest ranged person I've ever fought 90% of the time in pvp. <3

Honestly, I'd have to question the rune set-up of the people your facing. Because with my runes, my Xerath usually locks down the lane. Unless I'm against a Leblanc or a tank with decent MR.
Lol, one game I played last night was soo funny. The enemy team was raging at me constantly because I kept managing to juke 3 man ganks from them constantly. I can't stress enough how much wards and map awareness win the game.

That's what I usually end up doing. That includes runes and masteries
Gives you a 600 dmg Q on a 3 second CD, + 600 dmg Mage chains on a 5 sec CD
Nice, I was doing that in bots (I had sorc shoes over those but those look better for the cooldown) I can't see masteries though. (Only shows 10/0/20)
last night i went xerath in 5v5. i went 6/0/0. they kept sending people at me, but couldn't kill me. they surrendered in 20 mins =D

Why the *** is Akali so *** impossible to kill?
Best thing to do against an akali is just to carry a pink ward and drop it in her shroud. Or, just oracles. That's if you can survive her burst or can stun her long enough to burst her down.
Two matches in a row, Akali ignored my Stun combo (I *HIT* her with Mage chains then ult'd her then arcanoblasted) And she didnt stop at all. The time stun DID land in my tower she solo'd 2 of my team then walked away like nothing happened. She didn't have Banshee's or anything. -_-;
it could be that being a new champ, there might be glitches?

Janna tips?
My tip with Janna is to be a true support and play EU style. Meaning, lane with an AD carry, don't take ANY last hits from them, and just zone the enemy with tornados of doom while your carry just farms like a boss. Janna is one of the best supports to do EU style with.
