edit- I bet she looked like this! Cerberus.Maeldiar said: » well where else you see heimer vs. twitch, and the mirror caits, cool to see lifesteal beating out AD That's the thing. One Cait was much better than the other. It proves nothing. Isn't that what this game is? One person being better than the other?
Well, no, not really. It's a team game, but in regards to my comment, just because someone who is better than his opponent wins doesn't mean the build he uses is better.
Ah, okay. That's fair.
It is much more dynamic and advanced than simply one person being better than another, yes, but it follows many of the same rules, especially in the lower ranks. I guess my point is just that you can't sum up the skills of a player by sticking him in lane against one other and being able to choose any champion. Not having to worry about other team, etc.
Looking for opinions:
In a build for Jax that consists of: Boots, Zephyr, Blade of the Ruined King, and two defensive items (Randuin's, Warmogs, Spirit Visage, Banshee's Veil, Merc. Scimitar), what would be the best option for a sixth item? Guinsoo's Rageblade has been suggested (this caps my AS at 2.5), but I personally haven't had positive results using it. Hydra is my go-to. Hextech Gunblade seems redundant with the active (or brutal), but the stats fit Jax perfectly. Bloodthirster is an idea, but I feel like Hydra fits better and turns Jax into an AoE damage presence. Then there's also Triforce, which is a powerful, and I haven't been able to afford it yet, as a sixth item, to try in a game. Any other suggestions or an observation of something I may have overlooked? i prefer
boots, gunblade, bork, frozen mallet. randuins/warmogs lw~ but thats just me where is teh schedule for the matches?
I believe Hydra is more appropriate when (heavy) AD is involved, which isn't Jax's case. Also, due to Jax's passive, I'm not sure if the attack reset is as worthwhile as on other champs.
Jax's W is an attack reset, but I doubt Hydra's active counts toward his ultimate if that's what you mean.
Quick googling, some guy said that opening with the active would trigger Jax's ultimate immediately. Can always check on wiki I think, I'm about to leave work so I can't really check now.
I always build Guinsoo's on Jax but I either build it extremely early, or extremely late. I always rush Gunblade or BORK pretty fast, and leave tanky building for a little later. If I am up against a fed APC, I *always* build Spirit Visage.
I tend to build Randuins' more often than Warmogs as well. So all in all, often I would have Boots, BORK, Gunblade, Frozen Mallet/Trinity, Spirit Visage/Randuins', and Guinsoo's Rageblade. Looks like it stacks his passive AND factors into his ultimate. Looks like I'm sold on Hydra.
EDIT: Suji, the only problem I have with building Rageblade early is that Zephyr + Ruined King are such a powerful combo, and easily carry me into late game. I'd be way too squishy mid-game if I didn't start building some defense. We're talking like 8k as it is. Toss in Rageblade and its 10~11k on offense, with 0 defense. Zephyr is the tenacity and attack speed, and Ruined King is the damage and lifesteal. I'm happy with my early and mid game on Jax. It's just that last item that I've been curious about. The few times I built Rageblade, it was too late in the game for 1:1s to occur a lot, and if they did, it was me stomping a squishy, and the lifesteal was irrelevant because they'd be running. Frozen fist may be an option then.
That's certainly a good idea, especially if the enemy team is heavy on the AD.
Guinsoo's is pretty absurd on Jax. Pretty much makes him impossible to kill unless you have 3+ people. IBG pretty much replaced Triforce on him, lets you build a glacial shroud if you need armor in lane.
Just realized that the G510 LoL app sets the color of the keyboard based on your side in-game.
Absolutely craziest and most exciting LoL game I've ever seen. Holy ***.
Victory tastes like purple.
Oh and gj to Saint, MVP 100%. Homing Anchor Inc. dat 400ish cs by 34min doublelift.
