This. No one can really be carried into high ELO such as 1600+. Normally people with higher elo have a better understanding of the games mechanics than the average player. People with over 1500 ELO are in the top 3% of the player base if that means anything.

I do think ELO is indicative of skill, but considering you're playing with randoms, and only once, you may just be playing with people who are having that one terrible game. We all have them

unless you happen to be plat or maybe gold i dont think ELO directly correlates to skill
I'll admit, in the few ranked games I've done I have been outplayed
but More times than not i've had feeders in other lanes, or times when me carrying just wasn't enough

If you're looking for a solo top champ and those are your choices, I'd go with Irelia from what I hear. She has a great laning phase because of her sustain. Once she hits 6, she can trade and go for the kill very well. She can carry games provided she's farmed. She did receive a nerf but I still believe she's top tier solo top material.
I have no idea what I'm doing. How do I figure out what weapons and armor is best to buy? When I'm beyond level 5, will my chap die less?

well i mean crit plank basically focuses on crits
tank plank builds a little tanky
triplank builds triforce (its basically my tankplank)
glassplank (My other build) is like critplank with other things like BT and ***
and jungleplank just needs wriggles for jungling

I ended up buying Jarvan. Just because I love the Demacian champs, and people say Irelia is harder to play. I really love Jarvan so far, me + Lulu just dominated Olaf + Fiora at top (neither team had a jungler)
Also, do you guys think Katarina's Shunpo is OP? I don't because it has fairly limited range. Anyone with a stun can get out of range easily. Not to mention said stun shuts down what her shunpo is REALLY good for... Death Lotus. This team had only 2 snares and no other real CC, but adamantly claimed that I was very OP.

The +35 means that you gained 35 from that game to get to 1185.
