it is all situational but most of the time i find BT to be something i use more overall if i get either >: unless im jungling or something

Imo wriggles is just a place holder, great for early/mid game. Once you are ready to start building your bloodthirster, sell it to help fund it.

As far as helping with minions, when you are at the point of working on a BT, you should already be 1 shotting minions, if youre rushing BT first then imo wriggles would have been a better choice to do first.

20/4/11, and even had to afk 7 min in late game because my dog ignited itself. Time for the Danse Maca... mucah... forget it...

PS - Taric + Warwick worked together to kill me every time. Also as for Wriggle's, I get one on Riven even if I'm not jungling and usually it does me good til the end of the game. Helps so much in grabbing red buff/dragon quickly.

10% now. I notice a difference when using it for jungle Trundle, but it still works out alright.

I never liked Wriggles as AD bot. Maybe against a Cait who could outrange me and poke me to death.

Wriggle's is an early - mid game item. It falls off late game, and the minion damage bonus isn't really something to take into consideration at that point in the match. I replace it with a BT on my jungler's about 90% of the time. I finish my build before replacing it though.

And on solotop I generally dont even think about either item until i get my core done

I bought this before I even cared much about the game, and playing against Lv10's made me feel like a decent player... I don't even like TF that much lol

Wriggles is not going to be more powerful than a BT ever in a flat scenario. If you can run back and buy an IE first buy, do it. The thing is that in high elo play, you end up getting 2-3 doran blades before you start getting anywhere. If you bother farming up an IE first and trying to force it, you are likely to fall way behind when your opponent buys wriggles.

One big thing people don't realize is the survivability factor in the game. Which is why ROA is such a standard item on 90% of ap carries. Rushing a rabadons almost never works out unless you manage a lvl 1 penta kill.

The most broken thing is: swain+ROA+hourglass and a negatron cloak (boots also, but that's just standard)+blue (maybe not so broken anymore :'( ). The damage put out by swain is already pretty decent due to his E but surviving and having the mana to keep going will make him do a lot more than if you rock a deathcap and hope they cant burst you down, because they will. Hourglass lets you keep ulti'ing so you get life back during it. The longer you survive and keep throwing out dmg, the more dmg you do. If you're annie and you blow your load once and die after but you have a deathcap, you will do less dmg (until very late game) then if you got off two rounds of spells (annie isn't the best examples due to her ulti and CD's).

Anyway, just watch like 90% of 2k+ elo players and they get wriggles 90% of the time.

after looking at the match history for some high elo players i only saw wriggles a few times >.>

regardless of what you say its all situational, though i dont think im going to be getting a wriggles on graves or caitlyn any time soon

I've always preferred the 2-3 Doran's with a vamp sceptre which is left until later.

Wriggle's is cool for Dragon control but at our level of play Dragon still isn't that important.

I pretty much never build RoA. I'm not a fan of stacking items, even if it's based on time.
