Probably like 500 bucks, and my friends char. who has 100 leathercraft probably around 1,000 bucks.
I wouldn't sell either account because I doubt I'll get that amount of money for it. But if someone DID offer to buy, I wouldn't hesitate to sell, mainly being I'd rather quit the game coming out with some money in my pocket than quitting with just a bunch of time wasted (although I like all the friends I have made).

I know this is something I'd sworn against for years, but you guys are making me kind of actually want to do this.

Taking account into how much I make, and how much time I placed into my char, I wouldn't sell it for anything less than $50,000. That answering the OP's question about how little I would take to sell it this instant. Even if someone offered $49,999, I would say no, I don't care if I haven't touched it for over 6 months.
If I KNEW I was going to lose it regardless, eg. SE deleting all characters, I would sell it for any amount. =P

I do not think I would sell it, seems wrong.... But I'll trade my account for an ex + set of Power 9. Fair trade I think.

It's like selling anything that's negotiable - have to have a cut off at some point from the seller's view.
Plus I don't like the number 49 for personal reasons XD.

things like e.body and other rare items make it go up, i dont know about how many 75's
I'd probably sell mine for a couple hundred dollars if I fell into that. Right now I'm tempted to since I can't find work and want money badly.
However then there's the fact FF14 could crap out for me. And if that's the case I'd have nothing to fall back on.

You have to remember that some people are just stupid and ask unreasonable/unjustified prices
It's mostly about the gil, the more gil you can get out of a character, the more it's worth ~

Same for me. I don't plan to go to XIV. The gameplay itself doesn't look appealing to me. The only reason I would be tempted is because the characters look really good (in my opinion) but truly, having a prettier mithra but not as much fun playing is just not my cup of tea. I'll be staying on FFXI.

I've quoted my character just out of curiosity, before DNC was even unlocked and BST and RDM still weren't 75 (close to it, but not there), Before Sea and Before Cooking/Woodworking. I was quoted at like 120 bucks or so. I may do it again now that I have so much more done just for shits and giggles.
I'd sell mine if the price was right..but seeing how the price will never be right I don't think i'll have to worry about it.

Your gear is worth up to 80% of your quote, according to this site. Adaman Hauberk alone is not enough to base that on.

I think it would be more than that... single 75 w/ decent missions sell for $300ish.
Also depends on race/gender etc. Like adopting a baby. Blonde females always sell for more.

Worth 4k, but I think the most someone would pay is around 800-1k.
