crappy drop/spawn rate of argus..
now question i have (for people who may have camped this a few times and the like) is..
Wiki says either this OR the leech will spawn.
is there a definitive pattern or completely a lottery?
Yes i want the piece and i can probably camp a ToD i dont fancy spending the next few "pre update" days waiting for argus and then leech is there lol

From what i could tell from camping it, it is pure lotto.
Not a hard NM to camp really though if you have time to dedicate to it, due to it's spawn conditions there is rarely alot of competition.
One thing i found helpful if you have access to another character is to have one in each area (Leech king/Argus) otherwise keeping the ToD is the hardest part.
I was lucky and went 1/1 on Amulet but it still took a while.

Drop rate isn't bad on amulet, I went 1/4, though between all the no claims and leech kings, took me 2 months of camping at least 4 days a rl week. My final score was argus 1/4 leech king 3/22 (for earring)
Ive camped him about 10 times now, seen a bunch of crazy idea about how to make him pop, etc etc. One "theory" i will say i believe to be true based on my camping is that he will NOT spawn 2 times in same moon cycle, example Argus pop 10% moon, if next pop time is in same cycle Leech King will pop, and vice versa. Not gonna call that 100% accurate just based on my camping.

each time i had to go to mhaura i was taking a quick look if argus or leech king is up. and im sure u can imagine what happened: one day i was checking-> he was up - killed him and got drop lol.guess that was the revenge for 0/22 simurgh ^^

totally random as a pop, camped for 1 weeks straight. drop % is fairly high, we went 2/3.
ur better off just buying a PCC...

id rather camp argus.. i got leaping lizzy 1/1 kill drop, VE 1/5, why pay for something you just need to take the time to camp..
i can find better things to spend 1.6million on.

like ive said i probbaly wont go camp per sé, just pop in for an hour or 2 a day around the same time. Plus, im a crap farmer ^.^ cant make gil for love nor... well money
I know what you mean I had a horrible time farming gil for my hagun myself, just wanted to do the bcnm but sometimes the thing will not drop. So as a backup plan spend 2hours a day farming ladybug wings and if camping him doesnt work you know ure making some gil for it on the side.
I was able to buy my hagun cuz some guy paid me like 100k/hr for pl'ing it was HELP I AM TRAPPED IN 2006 PLEASE SEND A TIME MACHINE but who would pass that up. I pl'd him for 3 days 5~6hrs each was crazy

Camped Argus for a week solid, apart from two miss-claims, Leech King kept popping. I was actually going nuts, than got bored.. Went with LS into Attohwa and went 1/1 on Bando Kote from Xolotl.

I remember camping this back when it dropped the actual Charm with my friend...we kind of went insane after 3 days of no sleep...we actually got it but haha I don't think I can ever do that again...

Could be worse, could be camping Lava and Kusha Rings, albeit the repop times are timed 1.5-2.0hours, the drop rate is terrible. Seen accounts of people at 0/80+ on these, plus miss-claims and competition and TH3/4.
I'm currently 1/2 Lava Ring, but 0/21 Kusha (Two-days worth of camping, if I did it solidly). Oh well :(

Edit: Though the respawn times are nice. I can AFK when not in the window.

I don't see what's so epeen about having a R/EX pcc? If you want epeen just say you got your PCC off argus before it was R/EX? You know when there was 100 people down there camping it.
