After getting lucky with a $20 gift card from work, a $30 Best Buy reward zone certificate, and selling my digital camera, I made the decision.

Never really thought of that. I was thinking of buying the black one because it looks more sleek and stylish, especially lit up. Also, it'll do a better job fitting in with my other consoles/accessories/etc.

Actually it is if you have an SD card, lol I hacked mine. I get mushroom kingdom to play for all online stages.
Can you still play online if you do that?

Nah, you need the homebrew channel for wii, if you google it would give you instructions. Basically a few downloads on SD card, run that on wii then it'll install homebrew on your Wii.
Once you get that set up, you get ocarina installed onto homebrew, which is a code app. Basically a free action replay. Then you can put in codes (can find on any smash forum). One of the codes happens to be changed music, another code you can use for custom textures for characters, another code you can use for saving replays longer than 3 minutes.
There are also codes for like stronger characters and ***like that, but none of it works online. As soon as something acts diff on my game than yours. (Let's say your ike is only programmed to jump 10 ft high and I have a code that lets mine jump 20 feet high), since your wii isn't modded to accept that, it'd just d/c the both off us instantly

Basically,it takes about 15-20 mins to set the whole homebrew thing, mainly did it for the saving replays longer than 3 mins since that sucked, then got into the dat swaps (which look cool) and the music swaps.

Congrats, and mine is white. I got mine before the black Wiis came out. Besides, I could just paint my Wii black.
Btw I might recommend putting your Wii on it's side. I do that for mine, I've read it's safer, plus it's easier for GC controllers. I've knocked my Wii over before because the cords on my GC controllers are stretched too far, and boom it falls over.
I added your friend code, and I'm on if anyone wants to play. I'll still be doing Boss Battles, and come back here every so often to see if anyone is on.
