I used staves when I was high enough to solo with /nin. But now meriting on puddings you have to use /rdm or you'll die.
Elemental DoTs were a waste of mp imo when I was leveling. They leveled elemental magic anyway, so i'd rather just nuke or something.
Yes it may seem to be a waste of MP, but I've felt more useful in pt doing more than just nuking. My only argument is that if whm or rdm don't Slow and/or Paralyze they're considered shitty. Now the elemental DoTs in my eyes are more about the stat debuff > the -hp/tick. You see a difference when you Choke/Drown the mobs at the start.
