Simply put the game was released too early. The in-studio game devs probably knew this but Wada and the other chair still probably forced them to have it set for release anyways.

Hopefully this game gets straight by the PS3 release if not sooner.

1.UI needs to designed for a PC (really square it can't be that hard)
The PS3 can have it's own. Mass Effect is the best example of such.


2. Fix the multitude of bugs dealing with battle and crafting.

This pretty much.
I must admit, I'm having a hell of a lot of fun with it, but I'd love some more character storage... The game revolves around having to craft your items if you don't want to shell out lots of gil for extortionately priced goods in the wards. But with Botany and 2 desciples of the hand + Archer, my inventory is starting to feel the burn haha ;~;

I bet they ran out of money and deemed out to be "better" risk their reputation by selling it incomplete (It's update able so it's not that bad after all) instead of taking more loans from their investors.

They're just pulling a Microsoft tactic or two on us...

even if XIV isnt as good as XI its still something different rather then spamming abyssea. FFXIV is playable/enjoyable just not as much as FFXI when i played. but yeah.. i feel there going to take ahwile to make the basic fixes to the game >.>

Too bad I have not spammed abyssea like there is nothing else left in this game to do.

Honestly abyssea changed how we XP not the number of things we can do. So if we take the fact we can do more than XP in abyssea then there is more to do now than there was at 75.
only a little bit of the old endgame is worth doing now with all the new AF3 gear and normal XP partys were destroyed... everything is abyssea abyssea and more abyssea now

It.. really irritates me how a lot of FFXI Fans who have moved to 14 (Myself being one) are doing the Internet equivalent of sitting in the corner of the room on the floor rocking whilst mumbling "It'll be alright.. Square Enix love me right..?" over and over...

atm im enjoying the game but there are alot of things i can tolerate for now... but if some of the things arent fixed by the time my trial is up im not going to renew it >.> why wouldnt SE just release the game they originally planned (Was March 2011 i think?) they rushed it and they *** themselves... even if they do happen to make the game better they have already driven alot of their player base away due to all the crappy reviews and the past experiences for those who actually have played the game. as i said before its something different though... and its going to get old fast im betting >.>

i wasnt even able to finish FFXIII it disgusted me with how little content the game had and was just straight up boring for me... and i love RPGS... the great graphics is all the game really had... but this is sounding familiar... seems to be the same case with FFXIV sadly

theres alot more there could have been added to game. more sidequests and stuff... there was minimal to do besides the main quest

I hope SE steps it up and doesn't turn into this company that focuses on graphics and not game content. I'd rather be playing back in the pacman pixels a good game than play something as beautiful as FFXIV just for the graphics.

hey don't get me wrong i really wanna play ffxiv
but game needs a lot right now

they should've waited a year and released it, gave people a chance to have better computers to play it with.

Who knows maybe they spent all their budget on beautification lol
