Having the opportunity doesn't guarantee success. Anyone who thinks otherwise is silly.

There are people who have/still are busting their *** harder and longer than you can imagine and will never get to a good place in life without help.

I don't think there are many people who disagree with that. A lot of people just don't think that the answer revolves around siphoning out the wallets of the successful.

Life isn't fair. Talents and skills are not rewarded equally, nor is effort. I have nothing against leveling out the playing field a bit, but the way American society is trying to go about it is all backward. I don't know how large the government juggernaut has to become before people realize that overfeeding it isn't solving anyone's problems.

Hence why Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders are relevant. Both are the byproducts of a system that most people can agree isn't serving them and most definitely couldn't give a ***about anyone underneath the top.

The question of how to solve that issue as it only promises to get worse.

Very much aware life isn't fair. But that doesn't mean people who's opportunities down line up properly deserve to sit in a ***hole for the rest of their lives while others are riding off the backs of their ancestors with more money than their family could possibly hope to spend over the course of a dozen generations.

The scary part is, people are trying their damn-dist to find out! Imagine if Bernie or Hillary manage to get elected.

Is this before or after the near genocide of the natives of the Americas and extraordinarily profitable slavery? Man, look at all that free land and eventual free labor to work those lands!

If we're going with after... How about the ridiculous exploitation of nearly every immigrant group that has made its way to America? Illegal or otherwise.

How about all that property that was snatched up and sold fairly cheaply by the government to wealthy landowners after we decided to toss a bunch of Japanese-Americans in intern camps? And since a lot of this was in California and Hawaii, all of that cheap land has more than paid for itself many many many times over just because of how valuable land in those states has become over the last 70 years.

The only reason the Asian-Americans recovered as well as they did from that massive hit is because after idiots got over the paranoia, their stereotypes reverted back to all Asians being submissive and super smart. The stereotype in of itself is a bad thing, but it's not as bad as being labeled a drug dealer or a thug based on skin tone.
