Here's what I bought: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00MPIGQB2/ref=twister_B00Q8DP91S?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 13k mAH, which is a good 3 full charges of my phone plus a useless flashlight attachment. Pretty sturdy feeling, decent brand, solid price point. Just heard a rumor that XS pokemon "attack faster". Is this confirmed or BroGO-Science?

I honestly don't even know how I'd manage to kill the battery within a full day of hunting with my phone on max settings. Cheaper models are like 10/12$ and they are more than decent. Awesome, thanks Misa! Caught a Golduck that no one seemed to know about thank to the app you recommend.
On the notification issue, I just turn it on when I'm on the hunt. I passed a guy at a shopping who I over heard a rumor from that Ditto will show up as a Starting, not a Ditto. Thoughts?
Only connection I can see is both are genderless so it doesn't make much sense. Maybe I'm late to the party with this realization, but has anyone noticed that the camera perspective when catching pokemon is like... really *** up now?
It's like the camera was moved into more of a "head-on" position, giving a lot less vertical space for throwing at distant targets. :/ This would also explain why balls seem to be passing through pokemon--they're really passing behind. The angle flattens everything and essentially tricks the eye into aiming at the wrong spot. My hit rate was close to 100% before this update, but now I'm having a ton of trouble adjusting. And don't even get me started on the constant jumping and blocking ***. Not OK!! D:< I get a lot of over shots.

Only connection I can see is both are genderless so it doesn't make much sense. What's a Starting? Edit: Or apparently Staryu lol well that's random! That's among one of the dozen rumors, but it's not confirmed. The idea isn't just Staryu, though. The belief is that ANY random pokemon could potentially be ditto, except that when you catch it, instead of hearing that particular pokemon's cry, you'd hear dittos. Again, just a prevailing rumor.
inb4 Niantic made Ditto a 10cp Rattata that couldn't be caught with a anything less than an Ultra Ball, forcing him to always run away. Pure Evil There are, however, other theories too. Some have speculated that the face of the pokemon could be a clue that it is not a usual pokemon, but rather a ditto.
Another Theory I have found while researching is that ditto is unreleased yet, possibly when they release PGO to South America. There are several anecdotal references to South America (Brazil) in the anime that could possibly point to that location, seeing as how other pokemon are location-specific. I guess the most common theory is that he simply is just an event pokemon that hasn't shown up yet, but is in the dats. Are there dats of other pokemon with little black dots for eyes? :o
No he just shows up as Ditto in the dats. But that doesn't mean he couldn't just clone as something else in the wild. Nintendo has done that before in previous games, and it would make sense, since he's technically a legend-dary among the fans.

It appears to be a gym locator + team member finder/chat.
Could be cool, plus it's free for another 9k people or so... so might as well. "PokeWares has been developing a web app to use with Pokemon Go. This social, geolocation experience will enhance your game play and excite team interaction. PokeGeo is free for the first 20,000 early adopters. :)" http://gear.pokewares.com/pokegeo/ Looks like another pokemon app that would just clutter my phone with more notifications. I'm already cycling through about three apps besides the main one.
I agree, but it's something more social for the game, I suppose, that's the only reason I signed up for it.
Have any of you guys noticed the in game tracking isn't just flawed, but it's flat out wrong? Yesterday I missed a charmeleon, and I was pretty bummed about this. Pokemon app said it was nearby, got in game to the spot and it literally was not there. I saw the silhouette, but I walked around for ten minutes and could not find it. The silhouette actually moved a few times while I was standing still. Which leads me to ask, if pokemon are on a countdown runner, can they move? Seems strange that he'd change positions in the tracker while I was standing still
On several other occasions pokemon have appeared right in front of me. I'd push my tracker and none of the pokemon in front of me were there. It was so weird. As if the pokemon apps and the game weren't lining up. Either that or the apps can occasionally be incorrect. Idk, I'm ranting about that charmeleon. You don't know how quickly I jumped out of bed to find it, and to hunt it down for ten minutes :/ an horn neighborhood and it never appeared was disappointing. Been like that since the 3-step glitch don't particularly remember it being THIS bad. Maybe because I was using the apps so much, never paid any attention to the in-game tracking.
