See I might've considered that, except it was obvious they were going to a heavily zombie infested area, maybe it's just me but I would never ask, or think anyone else would ask, about things like that. True, he could just be being paranoid which wouldn't be unbelievable, but I still stick with my earlier reasoning. The looking in the mirror part right before he does it, can support either hypothesis.
I'm not doubting that he's messed up, he has been for a long time.
I think out of all the people he's been hit the hardest emotionally since the whole thing started. He's very troubled, even if he does hide it from the others.

I'm the one that said he did it so no one, or nothing can grab him by the hair again. Probably would be one the last things on my mind in the middle of all this would be to make sure my hair is short and can't be grabbed onto, but if it just nearly got me killed, I'd be more mindful of it.

there's only 1 thing that comes to my mind with what the doctor told rick, "Congratulaions, your wife is 3 weeks prego!" after all the doc did do blood testing, and the doc put the story line together to figure out rick isnt the daddy!

Was it ever explained why the walkers are often referred to as "geeks"? I couldn't figure out why that would be a slang term for a zombie.

I'm hoping Merle is the Governor (http://walkingdead.wikia.com/wiki/Governor). Some folks have shot this idea down, but the show writters tend to deviate from the comics, here and there (Ex: Shane should be dead before they get to the Hersel Farm according to the comics). I think it would be a cool plot twist!
I feel like they've been going back and forth but I don't mind that they strayed from the comic because ... Come on what suspense would we have then . Can't wait for the next episode I'll be on vacation but still going to make sure I watch it.
