AMC Walking Dead [Spoilers]

everyone catch the season 2 finale?

among what my spoiler said this is prolly one of the best shows in a long time, the acting is done very well, it looks as though it was a movie (film quality), and as predictable as it is, its still exciting.

I'm pretty annoyed at the end of the "midseason" walking dead finale. I think it's stupid they cut the show off for 3 months for no purpose. Honestly, I like the show, but it's just stupid. It's not southpark where the creators go through these breaks because of the extreme circumstances of creating the show just to give themselves a break, they already have the rest of the season filmed. Breaking bad is the best show on TV and it does not do this.

Completely opinion.. I'd have to be pretty damn bored to watch it.

Don't get me wrong, I haven't missed a single episode of walking dead. But don't hate on breaking bad, it blows walking dead away.

Again, complete opinion.. I don't like Breaking Bad. Just because you think it's great doesn't mean everyone does, don't make the mistake of thinking so.

As far as my opinion is concerned, Terra Nova blows Breaking Bad out of the water.. Actually re-runs of Family Guy blows Breaking Bad out of the water.

Okay it isn't considered fact, you are correct. I'll just point out it's a higher rated/awarded show, meaning more people have a positive opinion about it.

I miss when The Walking Dead had in it, ya know ... Walking Dead. Not drama llamas! The last scene in the midseason close was great - now can we please move on? I'd hoped they'd stay at the farm for ~2 episodes and then MOVE ON. If I wanted a show that had lots of drama around what used to be a great plot, I'd watch Lost.

Where's Merle? What about the CDC/French zombie cure? Has the whole world gone to hell?

I do like some drama (the Glen/Maggie struggles are good), but dammit if 1/2 the episode goes by and a zombie hasn't at least had a real shot at infecting someone, I'm gonna be pissed.

The thing about The Walking Dead is that it's more about the people than the zombies.

This. Zombies are completely static characters, a slightly more exciting obstacle(vs. say a mountain or animal) for the living people. I like the show because it shows the psychological effects of having to kill what was once a part of you. Because it shows people under duress, and makes you feel intrigued in seeing how they react in such situations.

The first zombie movies were social commentary. They weren't CGI/makeup *** measuring contests. So many zombie movies these days are just there to keep that one guy to keep coming back to the theater squealing, "omg did you see that, that zombie looked so real. then they shot him in the face, so awesome!"

So for me, the interest isn't in the zombies themselves, but the people who have to deal with there being zombies. Sure, it's nice to see a zombie with believable makeup on, but I don't need to see a zombie every episode just to enjoy the show.

lol your opinion is wrong. 94% of people like Breaking Bad, the 6% being your grandparents, infants, and you guessed it, those too hipster to admit they do.

And 123% of statistics are made up on the spot.

It's the rating for the show on IMDB. 9.4/10.
It doesn't mean 94% of people like it, just that almost everyone who's seen it considers it very close to perfect.

EDIT: Also a 9.4 rating doesn't mean 94% of anything.. That would only be true if the ratings were 0 and 1. IMDB goes on a scale of 1-10.

Oh and complaining about the break they're taking because the show doesn't have "extreme circumstances when creating the show" makes me giggle. Silly.

My bad, I already admitted my mistake >.< My brain has this way of working where when two or more people post ridiculous/ignorant things in rapid succession they somehow become the same entity. Even though I'm an experienced internet veteran, it still sends my brain into meltdown where lesser facts are ignored.. Such as the distinction between 2 people.

I just don't see the point of a 3 month layoff from any point of view for the show. They already have the rest of the season shot, it isn't like they need to work on it. The show right now faces sunday night competition from mainly Dexter and Boardwalk Empire at the 9pm (est) time slot. Both of those shows are going to be ending their seasons in 2 weeks. In February both HBO and Showtime are going to have major shows back on the air (including a personal favorite of mine East Bound and Down :D). Now is AMC leaving the 2nd half of the season for february to battle it out with those shows? It's very well possible considering breaking bad and mad men (the 2 most popular shows on the network) won't be airing until later 2012. I've just never heard of a show cutting off mid-way with no real explination.

edit: forgot the new Spartacus season is going to be running in feb as well :X
