Thank you kindly.

Now all we need is a special JoL to morph into ilvl AV.

....on second thought, I don't think I want that.

Noticed your Commitment wore off, I'm guessing then that CP modifiers apply?

They managed to break F8 targeting. That much I spotted within 5 minutes of logging in after update.

F8 no longer prioritizes mobs. Just the nearest thing. Trusts, those daft piles of bayld etc.

That's a fix in my book.

Always despised when I was trying to target something close to me and /targetnpc decides it's more interested in the level 4 orc 40 yalms away.

Yup. I'm guessing Kupofried/mechi mantle etc effect it too.

If I wanted to target my party members, I'd use F2, etc. This is pretty shitty for anyone that CPs with trusts (i.e. everyone).

I gave up on F8 a long time ago.

I just use the directional button on my controller (knowing it'll target me first), and coordinate the camera view so targeting left/right will immediately target the mob I want.

Has this been discussed yet in terms of where it's obtained? I'm assuming it's from Promathia, but you never know.

Looks like Promathia's body, it must drop from Ultima.

Sarcasm aside, I wanted confirmation that it does in fact drop from Promathia. For all I knew, with the wings and such it was considered a super rare item like Tartarus Platemail and available somewhere else.

Those absolutely destroy Chastisisers.

Big caveat, none of this includes the mysterious "Colossal Blow" (which may well be awesome), but:

On very high level content, max Fleshcarvers (SR weapon) still slightly edge Denouments out in many situations according to my previously up to date (with August update) MNK spreadsheet. It's pretty darn close though, and Colossal Blow may well be the difference (though we'll see how hard Denouments are to get a hold of). Both of them beat Chastisers AND AM3 Glanzfaust for the hardest targets. That's using pretty typical high end current stuff (no abjuration+1 gear) and realistic buffs, and estimated stats for current high end content like Sinister Reign or Escha T2+ NMs.

Moderately high level content (say, high end CP mobs), it's pretty close but generally Mythic > Denouments > SR h2h.

Trivial content, Denouments are excellent and right there at the top, though Glanz AM3 still win by a minor amount.

Kenkonken are a bit of a special case and are probably always going to be PUP's best melee weapon since (a) they also enhance PUP's best WS, (b) AM3 also affects the automaton, so is a big boon whenever using a DD puppet, and (c) the MA+50 basically caps PUP's delay reduction, which is fairly difficult to do without this weapon (in fact pushes PUP to slightly over cap if you're also getting capped magical haste and have full gifts/MA Job Points, but it's not a big enough disadvantage in reduced TP/hit to cause that to outweigh the benefits - just don't wear additional MA gear).

I wonder if you add abjuration +1 gear, with its massive ACC boosts, how the different H2H's stack up? Still, Denouments are definitely going to be the first item I target from the update. They are clearly inferior to KKK for PUP (and inferior to Midnights on most stuff where you'd just use pet and couldn't keep up AM3) but I'd love a pair for monk.

re: Wikis

Let's all just be grateful we have multiple sources of information. I use FFXIClopedia(Wikia) and BG Wiki extensively, there are strengths to both. Arguing about them is silly.

The work done on both wikis is awesome and benefits us all, there's no need to look down on either.
