so many lolz. people wishing for kings and 75 cap, complaining about sam, and gear swapping so far.

depends on if you want the game to make money or just feel like the olds days (that will never happen as the past is the past).

to make money, update the graphics somewhat and add more boobs. /thread

1. [Oblitgatory "stop PS2 support" post] I'm surprised no one had that yet. Bring the game down for a bit and overhaul it from the ground up like they did with 14. When it goes back live, allow everyone to pick up right where they left off; all gear and game progression.

2. Take out the guessing game at the Auction House. Show the prices each is up for, but don't show who is selling.

3. Add a reversed bazaar. It would allow you to have an item you are looking for show in your bazaar and if someone is willing to sell for the price you offer, they can sell it to you while you are afk just like how it works the other way.

4. Balance jobs. Aside from the nominal complaints everyone levies about DDs, I'd do something about support classes as well. BRD sticks out to me (mainly because its my bread and butter) because the Devs seem to think that BRD is supposed to sing, afk, sing, end fight. BRD makes great backup besides singing but is left off ALOT of support gear. Example: Chanter's Shield that was just added looks great for BRD, but we aren't on it. Just the same with Sors Shield. Not counting the impractical for battle event shields, BRD is on 19 shields in the whole game. 16 of them are the "All Jobs" lvl30 latent shields. The other 3 are a crappy lvl40 shield that SMN and PUP are also on that I truly believe was added as a troll joke by a Dev way back when, Legion Scutum, and Genbu's Shield. The iLvl support clubs are glaring examples also. Sad...

♦ Redevelop the graphics of FFXI to that of FFXIV's level.

• Rebalance enmity for all classes.

• Revamp FFXI's servers to be a "Massive Merged" (Forget what ESO's director called it), Basically many servers but you can play with every player on any any server without having to transfer.

• Abolish playonline login

• Implement the balanced Ashita/Windower plugins/addons

• Search feature for item inventories

• Implement a way to pay to change race/face/gender

I have a few other ideas, but needed back in game atm.

Day 1: Hire the Windower Dev team to be in charge of UI division, allowing them access to the source code so they can edit it, instead of having to work around it.

Day 2: Enjoy not having broken addons each update.

Day 3: Server mergers.

Day 4: Modify Enmity merits so the increase or decrease VE decay rate based on job. Each merit modifies enmity gain/decay rate by 10%.

I agree that sex does sell, but when the only difference between the face style sub categories are two hair colors, it's gonna defeat the purpose...

Spot on with the bazaar, and I agree... Pld should have to share with brd. I'm thinking maybe using two hands on an instrument and wielding a shield kind of kills the mood?

Nerf Sam
Make all "bosses" immune to stun.
Fix dual wield
Fix enmity
Upgrade pet jobs. Aoe damage should be minimal on pets
Nerf skillchain damage
Introduce hard content that won't be nerfed due to people qqing it is too hard
New end game content for a way to farm HP bayld.
Remove random augments
Fix alliance content rewards. Should not be the same rewards as six people.

Making bosses immune to stun would effective destroy just about every strategy you come up with besides 17 healers and 1 MNK. I'm obviously being facetious, be there's a point.

Not listening to the playerbase would make them the "bad guy" again that they were years ago.

They most definitely need to remove random augments. I totally agree with that.

Everyone just stun botting bosses, then claiming content is too easy is annoying. Only reason I wrote that lol

As for the not listening; it really comes down to who they're listening to. The content should be difficult, not a group of people in sparks gear should be able to clear it.

These are wise words you speak, sir. I agree that nublets running around taking out Wokpet in Sparks or WKR pieces is a bit out there, but at the same time, make things too hard, and you lose the interest of a good portion of the playerbase.

I forgot one improvement I'd like to see. Make it so the gearset macros can actually pull from the other bags, rather than just your active inventory and wardrobe. It sucks that when setting them up, you can look in the other places for the gear, but it won't pull from them. Is this a glitch or a bug, are they trolling?

First thing I would do is make it so we could customize the look of our characters more. Have like a hair dresser NPC in the big cities like Jeuno, Aht, or Adoulin where you can change your style and color and also add an option to the respective guilds to dye armor pieces. I hate that everyone looks the same in this game.

lets see...
1: new-inventory system. the JSE locker. your JSE locker corresponds to your current main job, the only things which can be stored there are things only usable by your current main job. Items can be added/removed from the JSE locker (to allow for upgrading), but items in a JSE locker for a job you are not on are inaccessible.

2: remove "skill up" from combat/magic skills.

3: create a new tier of equipment. Meld-equipment.
-- Meld equipment gains increased stats the longer it is worn
-- Meld equipment is JSE4, and can be augmented with a limited number of job trait/ability boosting effects, corresponding with the class' AF/Relic/Empy.
-- Meld equipment can be changed to look like any equipment (of the same slot) that is in any of the players bags.
.... The idea here is to move away from massive swaps with general BIS pieces that can be upgraded by upgrading 'parts' separately without loss.

4: ease R/E/M aquisition.
4a) adjust dynamis currency vendors to purchase Relic/Crafting drops from the zone for corresponding currency.
4b) remove the NM requirements at the start of Empy weapons, and add HMP, Dross & Cinders as battlefield rewards.
4c) remove assault tag limits, add ZNM to the content tab for sparks where completion rewards the ZNM trophy for all except Hydra/Cerb/Khim.

5: update the client system to allow greater UI customization (they did it for XIV), and increase dependance on GPU for graphics processing.

6: Job-balancing (not that I think this would really fix anything it would just be broken in a different way)
-- Allow Cor to have 3 rolls
-- Reduce the effects of Songs/Rolls/Indicolure abilities when a player is benefiting from more than could be provided by a single source. This is to try and stop support stacking (2-3 bard rotations, double-geo buffs + entrust etc.)
-- Adjust SC's massively, a SC must include at least 2 jobs
---- SC's now provide additional effects depending on the jobs involved & type of SC made
---- Samurai SC bonus is now X multiplier of their WSD added to SC damage, in addition to effects
-- Allow pets to benefit from party-effects (songs/rolls/auras)

7: New-gimic NM's! but seriously,
-- Takes reduced/no damage (all) unless certain SC & MB are performed (either on the NM or secondary target(s) )
-- enmity-lock, every 30/60s the NM will target the player with the most enmity generation during the last phase (no more rapid hate bouncing)
-- Terror-spikes.
I would like to see the return of 15-30min single-fights where there's a serious investment in the people you are playing with. These could be high-end Unity NM's something to bring people together and work towards killing without there being a sure chance of success (because of depop or rage timer).


I doubt this would be everyone's dream but it's what I'd like to see.

woo lets play armchair game designer

-Scaleable hp raid content based on 9+ players instead of starting at 6+.

-Remove lockout on ARII, rescale alexandrite distribution in other zones to be competetive options.
-Double base xp and cp.
-Adjust cooldown on capacity point ring to be 20minutes.
-Mecisto mantle cp bonus is changed to be a key item, the % bonus is based on the highest +cp % cape turned in.
An additional xp/cp bonus of +25% can be purchased with 75k bayld or unity accolades, this extra bonus expires at the end of each RL week and must be repurchased.
-Increase the chance+quality of wildskeeper reive spoils for defeating Yumcax and Kumhau (hp bayld box, delve boss materials).
-All walk of echoes treasure items now have their rare tags removed unless they are earrings or rings.

Voidwatch:
-Voidstones replenish 2x as fast.
-A higher difficulty version of existing voidwatch notorious monsters may now be spawned at their corresponding locations for an increased chance of reforge materials and empyrean upgrade materials.
-Add quests to upgrade voidwatch pulse weapons to an iLevel 119 equivalent (+242 skill, etc).

Records of eminence:
-All crystal and geode/avatarite objectives are unified so their type is not specific when set(e.g. Spoils (Crystals) )
-Increase maximum number of active objectives to 30


White Mage:
Divine Seal recast base reduced from 10 minutes to 5.
New reforged empyrean hat grants divine veil 30%

Dragoon:
Wyvern is granted the ability to double/triple attack based on the dragoons currently equipped armor DA/TA chance while engaged in combat.

Ninja:
New job ability, Arashi - Makes it possible for your next ninjitsu to be used in a skillchain.

Pup:
Increase Maneuver Duration from 1 minute to 3 minutes.
Recast on maneuvers reduced from 10 seconds to 5 seconds.

Summoner:
Astral Tap , 3 minute recast - Transfers Tp from Avatar to the Summoner. Efficiency determined by summoning skill.

Thief:
Reduce base recast on SA/TA/Bully.
reduce Accomplice+Conspirator recast to 3 minutes

Magic Changes:
Reduce Cast+Recast time of all regen spells by half, increase all regen spells base duration from 60 to 180 seconds.
Make Stona a level 49 spell
Make Haste 1 Accesionable
Make Erase work outside party
Double the enmity modifiers on Animus Augeo/Minuo

Blu Magic:
Exuviation: Removes up to 3 status effects, restores 120hp per status ailment removed.
Magic Hammer: improve mp return + stat modifier.
Memento Mori: increase duration from 30 seconds to 90 seconds.
Battery Charge: increase duration to 10 minutes

Increase all requirements for R/M/E

Limit Voidwatch fights to once per year.

I'd increase level cap to 100 but make it require that you get all your experience points(100,000,000) in Qufim Island.

I'd make SMN also only have Carbuncle with poison nails.

I'd increase the Bazaar tax to 85% and implement it everywhere in the game.

I'd make it so you can only send 10,000 gil through a delivery box.

I'd reduce movement speed to -25%

I'd implement a force d/c if you afk for more then ten minutes.

Just stop the game asking me if I want to change my current Home Point EVERY ******* TIME I leave the Mog house after changing jobs ffs!!

There's a ******* Home Point right OUTSIDE all the Mog houses now! How hard would it be to let me set it manually out there if I actually wanted to change it?

It's annoyed me for let's see.. 8 1/2 years now that one. Like since the day I started playing. Even before the Home Points were outside the Mog Houses.

You know any occasion that you can't call a trust at the moment. Same as that, but with gear swapping.
It's the only thing that has ever made me consider quitting. Everyone's obsession with gear swapping macros.

And it's obvious that SE actually like it. Hell I suppose most people playing it must like it.

Well I don't! It's silly and something that I do not do. So there :p

1)Abyssea 75+ to enter, so people remember that we can get 30-99 on another place and bring back the xp parties.

2)Bazzar method to buy like on Lineage 2... just select the item, put the price and sit there and wait, ( you must have the item )
