NE VA here "Comcast" Unable to get past login screen.
I've been having this issue since around 10:30 am CST today, it's gotten progressively worse. I was in Escha Sky PL'ing an alts jobs while i farmed cp. and they ran fine. On my main doing two sets of missions. When it called for a zone, I'd get stuck in the "downloading data" screen and eventually time out. Logging back in to only get locked in the same screen over and over. Eventually i decided to zone my other two accounts to see if it would happen on those as well. It happened on one but not the other. I'm going to assume it's SE. Oh a friend mentioned the weather is bad where they are located at, perhaps problems with their servers. IDK TBH. Wasted day off of work for me. Guess I'll play some Xbox one. :(
Ddos. That's my opinion. In all my years playing I've never seen SE have an issue this bad. Both the login server and game servers are either timing out or spit out a pol-error.
Can't get logged in from the UK. Can only assume this is storm related?
I wasn't able to log in today, but I just bought the extra mog wardrobes and am having no issues now.

My friend logged 2 of my characters on and moved them and I was able to log back on but just got stuck in a zone again on one of them. Hopefully it's fixed soon!

Even me as an uber non conspirasist (I only typed that to check I could do it after 10 beers lol) does wonder if it's a ddos attack by now.
Ditto. Both myself and my mule get a black screen after the select character screen. I made a mistake a went into Mhaura.

Could it possibly be caused by damage from the storm?
All of the sudden I can't connect at all. Did the server go down or is there some weird outtage?
If the storm was affecting the servers, they wouldn't half work, they'd be down completely.

It does still seem like when the storm hit coincides with server problems.
No word from SE yet? That does make it a bit weird, i know a lot of people are reporting problems.

People from different countries are reporting to experience log in issues, kinda hard to imagine ISP from different regions are down.

I decided to try my VPN. Normally I'd never use when playing 11 because the game feels laggy enough without it. Connected to a california server (thinking closer to Japan) and I'm able to login fine. I'm in Idaho with Cableone internet 75down/4up.
Me and a few other people had this exact same issue right before the maintenance on the 11th as well. So I don't think the typhoon has anything to do with it.
I think their load balancing servers are just giving out bad addresses. Load balancing usually works by giving you servers addresses based on your location (IP address). So that's why some people can fix it by logging in from a different location... and why you'll probably just get stuck again if you log back in at home.
