Centralized government came to be in the U.S. to unite people to ward of the British and their taxes.
The revolution was a tax revolt that led into other issues down the line.
That's why they aimed for a small central government. They knew the dangers of central banking, central government, etc.
That's why initially only silver and gold were to be used and why so many people tried to fight off a central bank for so long.

That's the most vague attempt at both-sides, same-thing I've seen in a long time. I'm talking about a specific incident that just recently happened in this thread, so let's stick to that and we'll get to other incidents when we get there.

So why is this distinction important? Because sea ice is basically frozen ocean salt water, its melting and freezing has very little impact on sea levels. Land ice, though, is trapped water that has effectively been removed from the hydrologic cycle so when this melts in large quantities it has the potential to effect sea levels as huge amounts of water are being added back into the system.
The trend that deniers like Saeval like to point out is that Antarctic sea ice is increasing, which it is, and yes, it uncertain why that is so. However, land ice is experiencing a net reduction in cover.
Land ice is the larger concern right now and denialists omit the distinction between land and sea ice because any honest discussion of the facts runs contrary to the propaganda they're peddling.
