I didn't watch anime as a kid, I watched the 80s cartoons on Cartoon Network. Wasn't until I was about 12/13 that I actually read a manga and then started reading more of them. Downloaded stuff off Kazaa and DC++ until I realized how bad they were lol.

This, one million times this. Seven Samurai is my favorite movie, and the anime is a pretty neat adaptation.

This show, man it's good, if you like mindscrew!

Read the manga some time... while its not bad there are some... elements that seem out of place for a kids series (even for japan) there were episodes left out of the american version just like with sailor moon. (male sailors that transform into women when they umm... do the tampon morph thing)

Am I the only one that gets slightly urked by people calling naruto with the shippuuden?

Basically after 82+ episodes of filler (nearly 1.5 years worth) they basically launched a "New Series" when they were ready to start following canon content again to help get back the fans disenchanted by naruto failing 200xmissions in a row with no character development, actually i lie if you didnt know it was filler you'd actually think it was backwards character development sadly naruto is what taught me about filler...

Though guess its none to diffrent from calling Dragonball, DragonballZ/GT

I don't have much merchandise at the moment, but that'll change when I move. Bigger room means more stuff I can stuff in it. xD I have lots of Manga and DVDs of animes but that's scattered around. Currently my room is very drab and only have this hanging.

Tomoyo being lesbian and in love with Sakura is blatant, even though there is no explicit mention in the anime the love interest is pretty obvious!

Also love Puni Puni Poemi(Excel Saga's sequel), the way it parodies Sakura.

Never said they were subtle about it, it was just one of the many... interesting? themes they added to what should otherwise be a kids series >.< not that i didn't still enjoy it.

That rings a bell...lemme Google it...I swear I've heard that name before. I think I've seen it but I don't remember it.

Back in the day my buddy tried to get me to watch excel saga... was a long long time before i started watching anime, even still not sure if i would get all the references...

I always split up Naruto and Naruto Shippuden simply because I always hated the original series. Naruto = the series where he was a constantly shouting "Believe it!" and Naruto Shippuden = where he stopped saying it every 3 minutes.

He never said it in the subs though lol >.> Maybe you'd like it more if you watched them

He would just say Dattebayo over and over, which is very annoying. Didn't actually say either in italian version which made him more bearable lol.

There's so many anime and manga that I've been through, too lazy to think of them all. Fairy Tail being the main one atm. (manga and anime) Kinda sad that Fairy Tail anime is on break. One of the rumors I heard of was because Aya Hirano (Lucy) was in some scandal and had a lot of her contracts cancelled with various projects. That and of course the anime was damn near caught up with the manga. Heck if I know the real reason.

I'm also one of the few people roaming around that's a fan of Hajime no Ippo. I started reading it around the time it was in its 900th something chapter and wanted to pick up a long standing manga. After reading and catching up, I started noticing boxing a lot more. The author does a real good job with it (at most times)

I have like.. a Kon plush and a Death Note card deck. Oh and a FMA transmutation circle keychain.
