When you need accuracy, Yaoyotl rules the roost.
Thanks Falkirk! So Acc+ builds (WS & TP), Yaoyotl. Otherwise Otomi (except WS on Water/Wind/Ice - Mekira-oto+1). :)

If I were to make an educated guess I'd say they apply to both hands considering all the crits that were happening. We won't know for sure until someone takes the time to parse it though. If you already have Hatxiik/Hunahpu/Kerehcatl/Izizoeski (or can easily obtain them), well...
Like Phunk said, the OAT WKR axe combo is king for content level ~110 and lower (approximately 20% better than any gearset that includes Guttler). And anything that is content level 119+, you're going to want the Accuracy+ of Kerehcatl/Izizoeski (not to mention the Pet: Acc+/DT-). With that in mind, there's some content in-between those ranges where Guttler will perform very well (SKCNMs, Skirmish, Very Easy/Easy Battlefields), and it will always be an awesome weapon (cool model, Attack +40, Onslaught got a decent boost recently). And in addition to that, Guttler will presumably continue to receive upgrades as iLvl increases. So, it's up to you, man. I guess it depends on the kind of content you personally tackle and the sort of income you've got. When dealing with a Gutter's occasionally does 2.5 damage is that already taken to account on the spreadsheet or do you need to do anything additional to make it work?
Whats the best Augments for the Moonshade earring for beastmaster?

Are you sure? :o I figured a 2.5x damage proc is 25% more damage than a 2x damage proc, so it balances out by adjusting the proc rate from 16% -> 20% (a 25% increase). triple damage would double the double damage rate. so if you have 10% triple damage it would be 20% double damage
Odin.Phunkism said: » When dealing with a Gutter's occasionally does 2.5 damage is that already taken to account on the spreadsheet or do you need to do anything additional to make it work? Relic ODD/OTD/etc is automatically handled by all spreadsheets. If you put a value in the ODD field while using a relic, it will be ignored. That said, I have Guttler at a 14% proc rate for level 99+. I don't remember where I got that number from, so if someone has data to indicate the rate should be adjusted, please point me at it. This is where I had seen the 16% proc rate (although the poster never cited a source or testing...) Hmm. :l
Edit: He and I share equally poor math/spreadsheet skillz, I guess. ._. I worked it out to be 20% as well in a post I made a while back - are all three of us wrong?
Quote: which is a 50% increase. 200 (double damage) -> 250 (2.5x damage) is a 25% increase, I believe these are the numbers we are interested in when we are trying to compare a 2.5x damage rate to a double damage rate. For clarity, using the numbers you used as an example if we did 100 swings 16 of which being a respective proc. Double damage would work out as 3200 total damage (16x200) 2.5x damage would work out as 4000 total damage (16x250) 3200 x 1.25 = 4000 Notice that if we change the double damage proc rate to 20% we will also get 4000 (20x200) - the same as 2.5x damage with 16% proc. Of course, I realise all this is pretty redundant since spreadsheet accounts for the 2.5x damage, and the 16% proc may not even be correct. Been working on Ruinator weapon skill set and been doing testing in Outer Ra'Kaznar on the Bristlehair bat. The average dmg I been doing on them is 2200dmg too 4000dmg weapon skill's. So is that good dmg for a Bst/dnc out there or should I be doing more dmg? I been following Falkirk gear list to a T just missing the new Str ring and the legion str earring everything else is the same on his list. Any input or better gear choice please let me no I like to no if I should be doing more dmg I also forgot I didn't use any food too.
Averaging 3100, hmm... Try adding more accuracy to your Ruinator set since monsters like these are beyond the "fodder"-tier. What level are Bristlehair Bats - 115ish? And which axes are you using?
ItemSet 326090 STR +8 augment on the Buremte Gloves/Ejekamal Boots. I been using the delve 119 axe from the Bee and JSE axe 119 on the bats I don't use the 115 axes unless mobs are under 115 or to burn out fast merits and job points. I will give it a try on the ACC I was messing around last night and out of 7 bat kills I was avg this 2200, 3100, 3489, 4100, 2890, 3356, 2178. Im thankfull for the information you put on your forums. I been full time Beastmaster since 2004 and I like following your guide to a T :).
I notice that Xaddi Mail is not talked about a lot, I'm not sure about the augments. Could it replace the gorney mail with the right ones?

Right on. :) Well, your WS average would probably start to look better as your sample size increased - I think you just had some bad luck with missed hits or low amount of Double Attack procs. Even looking at the spreadsheets with Raaz mobs (approximately the same level, 113-115 range) your average should be ~4000 (~5000+ with Killer Instinct active + Ferine Gausape +2), and that's with Hatxiik/Hunahpu axes. And regarding the gearsets, they're more of a guide, haha. Build 2 or 3 different Ruinator sets based on your accuracy needs and I think you'll have better luck when doing various Adoulin content. Good luck! :) Bahamut.Mrscoot said: » I notice that Xaddi Mail is not talked about a lot, I'm not sure about the augments. Could it replace the gorney mail with the right ones? For TP, Path A Xaddi Mail should beat Gorney +1. For Ruinator, Gorney +1 is the better choice. I merit in raz a lot. You do have to switch out a few pieces from the optimal fodder set. I generally run the Steelflash/bladeborn earrings and switch out my hands for augmented buremte gloves and that's generally enough acc. On twetheryn mobs in Raz I usually get around 3700-4400 dmg assuming all the hits land and 4800-5400 for a dbl attack and 6000+ for a triple attack. This is with guttler/hunahpu combo.
Well I switch too Acc set you suggest and am still doing the same dmg as before avg 2200 2800 3800 3000 4023 2400 2975 3321 I did switch some gear but I stick with what you had on your post. Am not sure on what level the Bristlehair bat are in Outer Ra'Kaznar but that what I been killing. Axe I use are kerehcatl and Hunahpu and I do have the JSE axe too. Maybe am just having bad luck but am not sure what I should be avg on those bats. I do have 8/8 axe 15/15 Str Dex Agi Critical hit 5/5 and ruinator 5/5 merits cap. I did mess around killing sheep in Ceizak battlegrounds and was avg 4856 4300 5324 7001 4879 5129 4976 think that's good dmg there I also have Adoulin Ionis on too. Let me no what you think Phunkism and Falkirk.
Hmm. The bat mobs may be more evasive than the twitheryn mobs I normally merit off of. Are you using a red curry bun?
wasn't using food I can try thow maybe switch to twitheryn to exp on if get bored let me no how you do on those bats :).

As a level 99 BST that's recently returned to the game, what is some gear I should strive for? I have Ruinator maxed out what kind of ws set should I be focusing on? I'm currently sporting Eminent axe and have been looking into getting another axe. I see the Homestead Axe looks ok, should I go for this?
Homestead Axe is great, along with the Gorney +1 armor from Vesca.
Not really sure how long you've been away or what content you've cleared, but here's a preliminary Ruinator set for a returning player: ItemSet 326554 You can skip the Gorney head/feet if you can get into some Morimar/Foret Wildskeeper Reives and obtain Otomi Helm/Ejekamal Boots (both of which can be augmented further). Buying the body/legs should cost 43,000 bayld. Leading eventually to something similar to this: ItemSet 250549 Good luck! :) Valefor.Vaeria

Ok great thanks, I'll work on farming Bayld for this stuff. I quit right after Adoulin came out and have returned. There are a lot of changes that have occured so I am mostly confused on where to even start. I reforged some of my AF for BST. Legs/Feet/Body because it was easy and the LS I was in was doing the BCNM type fights that drop the chapters. I will strive for this gear though!
been playing around with the gear i have from my drk right now and
ItemSet 326584 is what i'm using for ruinator when going bst. otomi augmented with pdt/mdt and str same for buremte hands and ejekamal feet xaddi are my tp legs from drk (stp path). |
