if you happen to make the rng a taru my name sucks for it :( lol was gonna say use my name but i just looked at it said nah not game worthy unless you take just Ace... and um your going to make the story word for word ffxi or give it your own twist cus need to be careful with copyrights etc etc

Even if it's free content, copyrighted characters are copyrighted. Can't use them at all technically.

I always wish their was a 16bit/8bit/2D version of FFXI (probably would of been better than FFXIII and FFXIII-2 lol.)
I even made this when Me and my friends killed Shinryu

That'd be awesome! If you want to make it authentic, I'm a mithra w/blonde hair, pig tails on the back (model 8B). This is such an amazing idea. If you've made major changes to the RPG Maker creator does that technically make it your own game? I'm not suggesting that you sell the game but could you if you wanted to, or does it belong to whoever makes RPG Maker?

Have you thought about using an art style similar to the character art etc, rather than what looks to be just the models from XI?
Personally I think it'd look most consistent and visually appealing, the shift in art is quite jarring to my eyes at the moment.

This project inspired me to make my own game. I had been writing a novel, but the writing side of things had put me off for sometime. Creating a game around the novel may inspire me to finish both at the same time.
However there are limitations I could see. The game would need to be adapted to what the software could bring me. I was wondering, what version of RPGmaker do you use? Did you download anything extra for it?
I would love to be a beta player for this project if you need one. I really want to get better at using this program, and seeing how far you could take this FFXI.
Also yea, we need an Elvaan Dark Knight with full Chaos gear. Its purely old school.

encouragement here also, dont mind if you use the name Khidir as a elf blu perferably(or nin or rng) if you have a use for it.
