Not a fan of ethier team, but here come the tom brady memes of (Stupid Voice): "If your QB hasn't raised the Lombardi trophy four times then STFU" Like I really need to see that over and over it doesn't bother me that others have done it before but when tom brady does it? How do I put this lightly... no I don't, it makes me sick. So now we get to see his likeness shoved down our throats every time football comes on, the sooner he retires sooner the NFL can be normal again until then this offseason is gonna blow, I'm sure others have said the same about Seattle, but frankly any other team winning it doesn't doesn't really bother me, it's the patriots that bother me the most, like a damn bad odor that wont go away... I'm sure others feel the same too. (but then again i'm probably the only one, go figure. -_-)
Brown one pound of ground beef. Put it in a slow cooker with one block (yes, the whole block!) of Velveeta cheese, cut into chunks. Add a can of drained Rotel brand diced tomatoes and peppers, and add chili powder to taste. Melt it, stir it, keep it warm, eat it on chips. It's not going to be the best queso dip you've ever had, but it will be the quickest and easiest, and allow you to spend the most time with your pals while it's preparing. And also make you the fattest, quickest. Blech! (It's gross. Don't eat it. Drunk people like it though, they are weird.) Offline

I hate to say it, but Vic is right. It wasn't delusional to think that Seattle was going to win, being that it was their game to lose. I'm not mad about Seattle losing, though, because I don't like either team to begin with. I don't know about delusions or anything, but this is why I can't stand the OP:

What a terrible game, commercials, halftime show, all of it.
I would rather have watched each teams coach do a live LP with Tecmo Superbowl on the NES. It was a pretty awful game. Absolutely plain until the 2:00 minute warning. I've seen games in October with more intensity and action. And Katy Perry suffered no wardrobe malfunctions, so that was a bit depressing.
Worth watching the last two minutes for one of the worst play calls in Super Bowl history though. Wasn't it something ridiculous like third down, one timeout left, and passing at the 2 yard line when they had a beast of a running back that could have bulldozed into the end zone? Seahawks fans be like: Man that's one of the worst games ever! Stupid refs totally *** that game up! I'm never watching football again!
Patriots fans be like: Suck my balls Washington! We r thez leets! Boohoo cry me a river! Everyone else: Man, those commercials are great! Me: Damn it! I didn't win any money! There may be a slight adjustment needing made in that description, but basically, yeah. They had more than one down to try, and a beast of a runner...and they threw. I derive nourishment from your tears, world of friends who think cheaters never win! You knew this was coming! Gnash your teeth and stomp your feet, it only makes your wails of indignation all the more delicious! Edit: A bit of sports narrative from me: I think any championship trophy that gets handed to the owner rather than the players first is, frankly, a joke. And I will treat it as such. The game has become the least important aspect of the Super Bowl. Asura.Kingnobody said: » Everyone else: Man, those commercials are great! You say that, but it's really just a matter of time until they put a team in London. They already play a few games over there. Once they reach that point, who knows what the limit is? I think this sport doesn't even exist in my country. We have rugby which is popular, but never heard of any human being playing american football here.

They've tried to set up a Europe league here in the past. I worked for the Amsterdam Admirals myself (Not played, worked), but apart from Germany the rest of the European teams just didn't turn enough revenue. The London Monarchs were actually one of the first teams to go. We'll see I guess. There's a new generation spending money now though, and several of the UK people I know have expressed interest.
Frankly if the NFL shut down tomorrow I would just shrug and get on with my day. No skin off my back either way. Lakshmi.Buukki

Suck it, Patriots haters.
Hey, no Superbowls since Lakshmi.Buukki said: » Suck it, Patriots haters. Hey. I hate the Pats and I'm still happy they won. Mostly just to see everyone outraged, but... Ramyrez said: » We'll see I guess. There's a new generation spending money now though, and several of the UK people I know have expressed interest. Perhaps, if it stays one team which takes part in the actual NFL and not a pseudo European season it could work financially, but to actually make the team work you would also need to base them in the US during the NFL seasons, mainly because of health reasons. Here in Europe there's just too little interest to make an actual European league turn enough profit, as much as I would love to see the NFL Europe league return. I know that a couple of matches have been planned to play in London later on this year, but it's not the same without a home team to cheer for... Oh, yeah. This is definitely a NFL team in London thing we're talking, not a European league.
As far as health reasons...I don't know about that. You could maybe split their season in half where they play all their home games in a row, give them a bye week to get to the U.S. and get their internal clocks adjusted, then have them play all their away games? Or something like that where they're not flying across the pond every week. Valefor.Sehachan said: » I think this sport doesn't even exist in my country. You can grind your teeth and be pissy about it or you can just play along with it and accept that an absolutely huge amount of people live and die for it during the NFL season...
...especially when you live in the Pittsburgh region. For me, I follow the Steelers because it just makes my life easier. But really whether they're winning or losing isn't as important to me as them being fun to watch. If they're bad, I don't care as long as they're hillariously bad. Which they've been at times in the past few years. |
