It doesn't move your character, I believe it just creates a copy of it on the test server.
Ragni was saying to me that Barrier tusk has some really nice phalax effect. Something between 30 and 40. That would be a pretty sweet increase from /rdm.
Done testing for now, will go test the Phalanx effect and if it's got anything to do with blue magic skill later.

Will compliment head butt very well, but the 12 second recast won't allow it as a replacement. The stun lasted for 4-5 seconds though.
Oh btw Ragni is saying he had 396 Blue magic so looks like 8/8 merits, af1+1 body and af3+2 legs are 442 which makes ammo breaking a tier again and probably makes it again best ammo for physical spells.

There seems to be something else to Barrier Tusk... with 427 blue magic skill, it cut 1000 needles' damage down to 850. The impact on normal melee hits wasn't noticeable via eyeballing.
I just had a quick go on my calculator... but it looks like that white wind heals roughly a 3rd of your max hp?

a straight dmg reduction ? was it confirmed to be phalanx? as in direct -# down?
Friend has been playing with heavy strike, he said in basic gear he was doing 2-2.5k heavy strikes with CA in aby (apoc/vv/mm). Also, it doesnt chain with savage blade. He doesnt have CdC or expiacion so couldnt try those for me. I'm on ***connection (Australian internet is really restricted on speed)so I wont be able to personally test skill chain properties until tomorrow.. still 6hrs on my downloads D:
Soo at only 32mp and a short recast delay (i think he said 6 seconds?) I know it will be sitting in my spell list with delta thrust for low cost and decent dmg spell spam lol :P

Strange Ragni was seeing damage on spider melee hit going down from 190 to around 140.
@Bray It says Phalanx effect wears off when it ends.
My guess is some kind of Scherzo effect under the phalanx. Will test more.

That can't be that like I said in previous post Ragni saw a very significant reduction on melee hits.
I can guarantee he didn't see -150 damage from a Phalanx. Also, CDC does not chain with Heavy Strike.

tell your friend he can get CdC by talking to the test moogle. obtain items > weapons > WoE sword +2. currently cannot get empy relic or mythic to play with. also gives the choice to obtain all lvl 89 weapons.
well phalanx is just "damag ressistance" which taking into consideration it is SE and it is a test server maybe it is a straight dmg reduction? maybe try testing with a full 50% dmg reduction set up and retest? alternatively find something that can nuke, nukes should be fairly constant to test out a phalanx
The Phalanx was unable to reduce the damage of an Antican Lanista's Blaze Spikes with 456 Blue Magic skill. Heavy Strike looks to be Distortion.

I already did, it made no skillchain with Chant or Expiacion. So it can't be distortion, gravitation or fragmentation.
Very strange, and hopefully a bug. My only other hypothesis is that it doesn't work like other Phalanx effects, and it's a % decrease in damage.
