Okay yeah I'm screwed. My laptop won't run FFXI unless it's being run by the third party windower... There's gotta be something else that can be done. (tried running it in fullscreen and still got the same error.)
Oh, and by the way Danz, Alt crtl delete onfroze my computer. Did you try that?

Do you have the option to play your character on your regular server while participating in the test server? Or can you only exist on one server at a time? I think a lot of people want to go to the test server, but not at the expense of their current character/server.

it was still in a unuseable state. however alt-tabbing to the POL error screen and Alt + F4 worked fine
Ugh ANYONE know how to run the test server program with the windower program yet?

How'd ya get it to work? Mine keeps crashing every time it tries to launch the FFXI window. Tried switching between windowed and full screen... Still nada.
when u moved the extraced files (the FFXITC 1 2 and 3 .zips) make sure u open up the ffxi folder, then drag and drop. it fixed it for me.

this is anoying to do why does SE got to do things the hard way cant get in application thing for somereason even tho i got everything that it lists and downloading to set up is confuseing

Yes. Only CoP/ToAU/WotG are registered for some reason.

Just an FYI: If you're downloading files larger than 100Mb be sure to use a download manager to avoid file corruption.
I'm pretty surprised SE would even give the files out as 1.6Gb chunks tbh.
But yeah, download a download manager before downloading any of the big files otherwise you could get it and it'll be corrupt.

When you did set up under A11203W_001.zip where it made a folder...believe it went under the POL thats orginally on the computer.
When you got the FFXIFTC1-3 downloaded on the computer, where exactly did you extract it to in that folder? Like the directory I suppose.
When I left the house it was half way done when i come back ina hour or so it "should" be done
