im on vista as well, and everything seems to be going fine. open the A11203W_001.zip and extract it to a folder and run the setup.exe in there. make another folder on the desktop(or anywhere) and name it test server temp folder or something, and extract the other 3 .zip files there. after that you copy all the files from the temp folder into C:\program files\playonline\squareenix\final fantasy online test server. should be able to launch pol from there and run the test server.
EDIT: ok thanks it worked

says i dont got any charecters that meet admission i got all expansions/add ons and got few lvl 90 jobs and got PC version of the game my codes for game and zilart cop and toau are from PC wotg is from xbox version of game but think that would be enough to mess me up on applying to test server?

as far as why you can't get in I'm not sure... make sure to read all the requirements carefully, but it may just be from too many people trying to apply at once

fairly certain u cannot use windower.
FFXI has a windowed mode that you should be able to alt tab to the forums to send in feed back.
ok. starring at the error screen for about 2 min oddly fixed it! O.O

Hmmm getting this same error as well, with normal pol look, and a red box by ffxi that when i hover over it, at the bottom of the screen says array error, and when i click it i get the error that he posted.
Just switched payment and I'm still ineligible for some odd reason despite meeting every prereq except having a job over 90.
Hoping its just the system failing to see I switched payment just now.
Edit: Using IE instead of Firefox worked for me too.

everytime i try to launch the test server, it force closes me -.-;
I didn't download all the files (just the set up thing) and it's just downloading things through playonline after I hit the Play on Test Server option. Did anyone else who downloaded all those files from website get POL to update also? If not, hmm... I'll let ya know how it ends >_>

Log out and log back into the forums, that might work. I just switched payment earlier (pretty sneaky stuff, SE!) and this worked for me.

i just deleted all the stuff in my test folder, going to try and put the files back in now. maybe i did something wrong without noticing
fist the POL-1400 array error BS. now after relizeing i just had to sit and wait. it pops up.
i can deal with this.
but what i cant deal with is spending hours downloading
hours updating to only get an error when i finnaly try to go to the game
getting the same stuff as kadia,
at first i thought it was my dual display setup. FFXIV dosn't like it

Yes, it's in the same place as the original client's config, except in the test client's folder.
