Speaking of which... Do you know where I could download some semi-released FFXIV music like the really classy dramatic one on their official website? Awww, they changed the main site song to something that sounds more like a main overworld theme. Now I'm looking desperately for the deep, darker and more dramatic song they had on there previously.

Hmm, I'm pretty sure if you look around the Eorzeapedia forums, you'll find a guy thats ripped all the music that has been on the official forums. Looks like I'm SOL. All the links given were quickly invalid or the files within them erased due to most likely copyright issues and legal infringements of leaked data. Looks like I'll just have to dig deeper or pray the soundtrack will have that song.
Bleh, all I found was some QQ threads about someone who pirated the alpha OST here.

If I recall correctly, the one I am thinking of was only played temporarily on the official website. Unless anyone currently playing the alpha has testimony that the said song is available in game?

I am on the Alpha, however I haven't heard it in game, but at the same time I haven't heard alot of the songs in FFXIV's files ig yet. the song I swapped in for Campaign...

Neko Sentai has an extensive collection, downside is you have to sift through a bunch of 18+ mods. also: The Goblin Tailor - http://thegoblintailor.forumotion.ca/ -- This site was made by a couple of the guys from FFXIdats who were trying to save the works there and rehost them. FFximc -- www.ffximc.com has some dats too from what I recall. Aaaaand that's about all I remember from off the top of my head. Also @ Eirwen: Cute .dats in the pic, but the corsage looks like it has an alpha map error (which is causing the black block bits), if you'd like it fixed, please send me a copy of the .dat and I'll sort it out for you~ Have a good day guys, back to WHMing in dyna x_x

Makes me happy to see this thread up again. I'm a big dat mod fan, and I was really sad to see FFXIdats go down. Hopefully we can eventually pick up the pieces and get some old and new works re-hosted.
