Do you use any Dat swaps?
Been wearing these puppies for years.
 They are of my own design. /bow Aside from that, back in the dark days when I dual-wielded on WAR I re-textured Maneater to look like a red Tabarzin so it would be less boring, [it does not look like its icon >:|] and I think that was the extent of my forays into DAT modding. :P I do, however, use several sexy DAT mods by other people to make the game much less boring, but I can't really post any of that on FFXIAH. :3

God I hated Nuts'n'bolts but the music they remade from the originals was superbly done. My custom Dancing Edge:

Ahm... (Excuse me...) but,
How the hell do you do that stuff? You use a specific software or something? iv never used em, but i have always wanted to see me riding yoshi instead of a chocobo jsut once :p

There are a bunch of .dat folders in your main ffxi folder. these folders contain all the in game information, animations etc. You can either download new .dats, or rewrite them and swap them with the original file in the ffxi folder. Haha, that's pretty awesome.
if i ever play on PC, I'd probably swap the .dats for Asuran Fists to something along the lines of eithe DBZ or have the giant words pop up like POW! WHACK! PEW!

My wife found this one that changed the moogle to a hume, and there was a post and some rope involved... I thought it was funny as hell... I get bored of looking the same so I change it a lot

I'm just curious. Where do you find or edit these kind of things? The last time I played FFXI until recently, I don't think many people had started playing around with this yet.
ffxidats.com has been around for a while now, there's a .datmodding thread in BG Media, and some people just do their own mods and pass them around to friends.
That dancing edge one is neat :(. Google fails me in trying to find any site with dats as cool as some of these. Not finding anything decent on ffxidats.com, either ><
I don't like FFXIdats. Half of the links are dead :(
