It seems that the Berkley police have a new, laissez-faire, approach to handling left - right demonstrations and counter demonstrations.

Or perhaps I should say laissez-sanguinem.

Keep them contained, let them fight, identify lawbreakers later from social media posts.

This Mother Jones article describes it well. And its probably the best idea the cops have had on the subject forever.

This cuts both ways
No it doesn't.

This is two elections now that libs have proclaimed illegitimate. This does not happen when the coin flips to the other side.
The first one was due to repeated recounts.

Also, conservatives did spend 8 years trying to stop anything Obama did. My comment went both ways but in reality we need some people to be stubborn on both sides or else you end up completely ***.

Since I KNOW it will come up, I've seen a lot of Republicans complain about and be against Obamacare until they are benefitting from it, then they worry it'll be repealed.
Obstructing obama through constitutional action is different than calling for investigations into the legitimacy of his presidency.

No one would expect the Dems to not be Dems, but judicial activism, fake Russian Collusion, and weaponizing the IC against trump is beyond the pale.
Still, the birther movement.
There was no federal birther movement. There were no congressional investigations into his birth certificate. When I say libs in this case I mean the ones running the country in DC.

As overblown as that was, I still don't understand why providing a birth certificate isn't a base requirement for becoming a U.S. president. I don't care if you're white, black, whatever. The requirements to be president are right there in the Constitution, and it's not a lot to ask to prove that you're eligible.

Whats gonna happen to poor nausi if Ossoff wins the runoff in June?
Not going to happen. He loses all of his advantages now that he isn't competing with 11 Republicans.

He would be lucky to gain 40% of the vote in June.

It's why we have such a bipartisan shitshow these days.
Partisan. Boy I bet you wish we had the edit button back!

#MakeEditsGreatAgain
While I like to blame everything on the GOP, the shitshow actually is bipartisan. Therefore leading to partisan gridlock.
Not in the sense you think.

It's the partisan *** that causes the gridlock and shitshow.

And here's a perfect example of how bad the shitshow is:

My team is always right, your team is always wrong and everything would be great in the world if only your team would shut up and realize the inherent rightness of my team.

That is the attitude we're dealing with now. In the past both sides had their beliefs but ultimately they would compromise in order to get something they each wanted. Nowadays it's politically impossible to compromise, progressive ideology insists there can be no compromise, only submission to their new social order.

The requirements to be president are right there in the Constitution, and it's not a lot to ask to prove that you're eligible.

Obama did provide it, he provided the exact same certificate that I have. His state, like mine, only provides parents with a "short form" copy that states "Certificate of Live Birth" with an affixed state seal on it. The original long form is kept in the states medical archive as part of their permanent record. That record isn't for the person and won't be given over, instead another short copy of a "Certificate of Live Birth" will be generated and another seal will be affixed. What birthers were demanding simply didn't exist. Multiple laws prohibit these records from being made available to the general public on privacy grounds, instead a certified state agent will inspect the records and produce another record certifying their legitimacy, which is what was done multiple times.

On top of all that the US President doesn't have to be born inside the USA, they only need to be a natural born citizen. Natural born citizenship is given to anyone born inside the USA, or to anyone born abroad with at least one US citizen parent. Obama's mother is a US citizen and therefor any children she had, regardless of the father or place of birth, would be natural born US citizens.

The birthers never had any ground to stand on, from their very inception they were ignorant asshats trying to sabotage and deligitimize Obama's presidency from the beginning (sound familiar).

f you hold a vote for stuff like that then turn around and declare take-backsies, what's the point in voting?

Voting is only legitimate when my team wins, any other outcome is illegitimate and the other team must of cheated. Therefor we should make a law outlaying any team except my own from winning, problem solved and the Socialist Utopia is founded.

Vic, I know you think that by scratching out words, they disappear in your mind, but that's not how it works in reality.

The problem is, that was the only issue they had, and even then, almost all of the country didn't fall lockstep with them.

What's happening now on the other hand.....

No. A black man killing whites based solely on their race while shouting "Allahu Akbar" is not worth talking about. We need to wait until it's a white Christian killing blacks, and then we'll have a topic worth discussing.
