like the concept, not sure i like the actual controller spitting into 2 mini controllers lol.
saw some pre-existing games, like splatoon and MK. hpe we dont have to re-buy it and we can import the library or upgrade at little to no cost?

I wonder if the controllers charge while on the tablet... or if they have to be on the controller brick thing to charge. I am thinking $300~350 on release?
Bismarck.Misao said: » I am thinking $300~350 on release? This would be a good area to settle on considering you're buying a tablet, the controller bits, and a glorified dock for the tablet. Wonder if this thing is using Tegra like the Shield. From what I have heard those will be new games i.e. Splatoon 2 and MK9... or 10 or whatever they are on. Supposedly the NX library is going to be its own thing, no backwards compatibility and so far they have alluded to not having virtual console on it. This system is also intended to be the end of handheld vs console exclusivity, meaning they want to put an end to a Wii U lineup and a 3DS lineup like we have now. Big example, Hyrule Warriors vs Hyrule Legends. This means Monster Hunter "Switch" or whatever they end up making next will be a CONSOLE entry. This is my main draw and why I will get an NX, to play a Monster Hunter on something besides 240p dogshit-o-vision. I'm just glad they are staying true to Mr. Iwata's vision.

I really wonder what the specs are. Like its android right? with phone/tablet cpu/gpu? I assume This is just a reskinned Nvidia shield tablet K1?
I am actually ok with this.
sometimes while playing on the 3ds I go: "This is a great game, I am sad I cant play it on my big tv, or that it doesn't have great graphics, because as great as a 3ds game is, resolution kinda sucks" I just hope games offer an offline mode, for those on-the-go moments and not relying on some strange or private wifi Grumpy Cat said: » Supposedly the NX library is going to be its own thing, no backwards compatibility and so far they have alluded to not having virtual console on it. IMO this would be a bad idea. But hey, not like I have purchased much on there. Grumpy Cat said: » so far they have alluded to not having virtual console on it. My dreams of playing Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars on a portable legally has been dashed yet again! Thanks I just noticed something.
What the hell is Konami doing there? They've moved onto mainly doing pachinko machines, and they are in the process of killing the 2 game franchises they have left (Silent Hill and Metal Gear). Capcom still has Street Fighter (it's already killed everything else it had, RIP Mega Man). Square-Enix + Tokyo RPG Factory makes sense and is GREAT, means the Switch will have some decent RPGs. Platinum Games....Bayonetta 3 confirmed?! Granted I still haven't finished Bayonetta 2, so I have no idea if they left it open for another sequel. 505 Games pretty much confirms a Switch port of Terraria. Marvelous might confirm Harvest Moon/Story of Seasons entries. I hope they make a new mainline Animal Crossing. TT Games confirms LEGO games, which have been pretty common for Nintendo systems the past decade or so. Interesting that Dena is on there. FFRK port? xD Asura.Kingnobody said: » The ***? I think a big part of the reason they are, alluding (not confirming) that virtual consoles will not be supported is to not kill sales of those little plug'n'play consoles that just started up. Remember that little mini NES thing?
If they plan on making a SNES/N64 version, but they tell us now that virtual consoles will be on the super portable NX system, how many people would still buy a tiny SNES? Just my hunch, but I think virtual consoles WILL make it to the NX at some point. I'm told SMRPG works really well on an exploited Vita (requires 3.6).
My friend with an exploited n3dsxl says that it doesn't run so well on there, at least the last time he attempted it, assuming with retroarch. I should dig out my BT controller for my phone and just play it on that. dont think it has been confirmed that it is not there?
probably still in the planing and developing phase. Grumpy Cat said: » Just my hunch, but I think virtual consoles WILL make it to the NX at some point. Heh, I'd still like to see classic support on the PS4 that was dropped for no reason other than to give people the finger. Gamestop: "Hey Sony, people aren't buying the PS2s we have stockpiled." Sony: "So?" Gamestop: "Well, make it so the PS4 doesn't play old ***so that people have no choice but to buy these PS2s." Sony: "That sounds dumb, you guys are dumb." Gamestop: "Do it or we won't stock your products." Offline

I'm extremely excited about it. The concept is amazing. I think the battery life is the biggest question right now.
I know the reason, you don't have to spell out my loathing.
Personally I wish lamestop would just die, the industry would be better off without that horrible store. lamestop makes a nice bank tho.
-pre-order game with 20 bucks -in time of need, cancel pre-order -game releases, move pre-order to new game eliroo said: » I'm extremely excited about it. The concept is amazing. FFRK port? xD DeNA is a partner of Nintendo and will be bringing some Nintendo branded mobile games (like a Mario themed infinite runner) to mobile, so I assume most of those games are going to have an NX version too Rip 3ds, I bought 3 games total for you...
