Pokémon GO! - (Savage)
Good lord my new apartment is magical. o___o Logged in to 2 Pidgeys, a Weepinbell, a 91-93% perfect Meowth, and a 97.8% perfect Tauros. Two Weedles, an Eevee, and a Pinsir spawned while I was checking their stats. Yaaas :D

They're such winners. Friend of mine works at Disneyland, and says there's Machops, Kabutos, and those Omanyte (sp) things everywhere, as well as a ton of Ekans, Meowths, etc...

Hell, everything short of Lapras is; only Pokemon I haven't seen pop besides the regional other 3. If someone has Mr. Mime, Kangaskhan or Farfetched in the states, chances are they GPS'd it or just went to France or wherever legit. Scored a 100% IV Staryu, randomly catching things today. Now to hope Starmie gets good attacks. Also this Omanyte nest I found is nice, but every. single. one. of them are never higher than 66% IV. Mostly brain damaged and good for candy snapping only. I had a few from a while back at 91-93% IV and all 3 had terrible move sets or near perfect. I feel like if stuff is in nests, their IVs are meh, but if found in the wild randomly, their stuff is much higher. The 3 Omanytes I randomly found support that theory, and the 400+ candies I've soaked up farming the brain dead ones support the other half of said theory. Anyone had better luck with other nests? Pretty sure people on /r/thesilphroad have pretty much confirmed nest pokes have crap IVs. My own experiences point towards this as well.
I was definitely able to get a Mr Mime recently, actually got two so they definitely upped the rate of the region exclusive pokemon, I would be very sceptical about that claim of a Kangaskhan in a gym unless they've been to Australia on holiday recently or something, otherwise they GPS spoofed and are putting themselves at risk of a ban.

My own experiences point towards this as well. 91.1 Dratini from a nest. (Got a 95.6 outside of a nest though) 91.1 Growlithe 86.7 Kabuto Butt load of 85+ Magikarps 2 91.1 Staryus.. All nests that I've visited on vacations and around my area. Take the time farm and you'll find them there Went to lunch and set off a lure, caught a Kabuto and Dratini (both new) from it, caught enough Oddish to evolve my Gloom to Vileplume (new) and hatched a Koffing (new), after lunch we went looking for supplies for my nephew's birthday party and ran into a Lickitung (new). So I got quite a few new Pokemon today.
Learned something new that if you're moving at a certain speed, you'll get incense spawning at 1/minute, rather than 1/5min.
Third night out, third Dragonite at the "Dragon Street" (Rue Dragon). What is going on?
Have some pics but need to upload them somewhere before linking here. postimage.org (com?) something like that is where I put them.
I've already identified my Magikarp to evolve and at 328 candies, the finish line is in sight.
Can not find Dratini to save my life, I have a Dratini well worth evolving but only 11 candies. Ah, yes, the pics, here they are!
Day 1 (00:44): Day 2 (02:44): Day 3 (01:08): It's looking like the nests have changed AGAIN!
A known Magmar nest has now changed to a Magikarp nest. We actually gained a nest close by. It's a Scyther nest. :o
Wait, NEW nests? That's interesting.
Yeah, I was shocked as well. I was at a local park today where theres usually a decent amount of different water pokemon... And I ran into 3 scythers in 5 minutes. was crazy
It would be great if I knew where any nests in my town actually were, if there even are any.
Interesting, Niantic talking about unbanning "certain" accounts: http://pokemongolive.com/en/post/update-082916/

You can install it yourself on your PC (Linux/Windows/mac) and make it available via web, but you need some basic knowledge or at least be able to understand and follow the manuals. The usage of maps and IV checkers are going to be more or less /STILL/ against ToS, but not as heavily monitored? Edit: My PTC account had been restored, which had used the go live map. Still not going to use it, but quite interesting to see. If they want to make it a fun, fair experience, shouldn't they do something about the huge advantage people who live in big cities get over people who live in less populated areas?
They're probably trying to come up with a fair solution to that, Tidis.
What they really need to do is (and I know they're getting to it from the update notes) is gym battles as far as defending and raising prestige vs. losing it. Or something to that regard, I know it's harder to get something better with gyms going than it is with training, I like how training works right now, though considering how much you can take off attacking gyms, I feel that either has to be nerfed or the amount from training increased. |
