Behemoth Event

I would imagine, first off, that you don't even get points because the Behemoth doesn't give EXP.

Even if it did, you will never likely get a SC off, and I doubt that even with 500/tic Regain that going 1 point at a time would be any faster than SCing off the Ayame trust.

It works. Have done 3 weapons so far (WS trials), takes anywhere from 20-30 minutes each, depending on how lucky you get with skillchains.

So then it's probably faster than using a trust if you can't make Lv.3 SCs with the weapon you're breaking. Staff comes to mind.

This event is pretty much impossible to do with other people around.

Though I guess it could be used to unlock Nyzul WS pretty quicklly.

The objectives cap at a certain point, so just find the most populous event area and lame it out through the perform 200 WS objectives.

as long you get 200 ws on the challange, whats the deal?

For success in this event there needs to be organisation, everyone can feel free to stay engaged to it but unless you're one of the people organising skillchains, don't WS until the do X amount of WS objective shows up, at that point spam, useful to have a WS macro'd in case of lag.

Once you do complete an objective you level up a heroism level and have to drop the behemoth 10%, you can usually get 2 WS in before the behemoth will start building power, which is your signal to get more than 20 yalms away as he will do Thunderbolt which will remove your event status and have to get it re-applied, inconvenient at worst but I haven't seen what happens if you lose status just before the behemoth gets killed, don't chance it.

Get as many people as you can in an alliance and be very liberal in your use of /sh, the chat log can make people miss the current objective, have someone shout it, if certain skillchains are required, shout compatible GKT skillchain combos as you're likely to have some SAMs.

Here are the steps:

Get the NQ behemoth costume(head+body) and initiate the SC challenge with the moogle. You need to accumulate a "TOTAL" of 100 WS points. After that proceed to any of the Behemoth Spawned zones. You will start off as Rank 1, every time you complete an objective that is given to you, your rank raises, the maximum rank is 10 "Heroic". Every time you complete an objective go talk to the moogle that stands next to the entrance so you reapply the event status(be sure to have the behemoth costume equipped). From ranks 1 to 9, the moogle will give you a "Vanadiel Clock" which is good if your a furnishing fanatic as well as gives CP+EXP Bonus(i think 1 or 2%). Once you reach rank 10 and talk to the moogle, he will give you the KupoFiend Cipher.

PS: The most jobs that had most of the Skillchains from what I have seen is THF(Dancing Edge) and also be sure to know the WS chart correctly to complete your objectives.

I don't think it's been mentioned in this thread that I saw, but it helped me so I'm passing it along. To prevent your buffs from being wiped when the behemoth does Thunderbolt, just have your HP at full before it does it. That worked out pretty well for me.

I'm rank 5 and have yet to get a clock... What gives?

I'm trying to get people to understand if we team up and do the run out of range then into range for the spam objective we can win. People would rather stand there and lose over and over...

I believe the clock is obtained from killing the Behemoth, have you been part of a group that has killed a Behemoth yet?

All three zones are packed with JP's that refuse to team up and win. They would rather spam weaponskills and waste time...

We had a good small group that managed to win despite a few Rambo's.

So now Im just standing in range and not doing anything and making it harder on them. They have not made any progress in the last 2 hours. Waiting for them to go to bed and we might have a chance at this.

I have counted 8 JP's here breaking nyzul weapons. It will be impossible to win now. This was not thought out very well...

Kinda torn, i was screaming and shouting saturday that it was a stupid event in LS chat, but on the other hand if anyone can just walk in now and get trust after 1 fight or something like that its *** on us who actually stood it out and did event for 8 hours+ until we got trust...

I'm just glad I got the Kupofried Cipher. He's such a boss trust to have for obvious reasons.

Well, all it takes is 1 player to mess up the entire flow for everyone. Sure there are npc's throwing random WS's out constantly but it's the uncooperative player(s) that can turn a quick and successful event into a frustrating all-day affair.

1 guy was constantly doing the same WS no matter what skillchain objective was at hand lol... pissed me off since alot of people was actually listening to my instructions and trying to do Skullbreaker -> skullbreaker for instance... etc...

Confirmed that it took less than half an hour to do this.

Skillchain challenges weren't too hard thanks to a thf next to me who made conscious effort to chain with me and a very lucky three step self-chain beforehand.

Also: If you are at 100% HP, Thunderbolt will not remove event status.

If you're /DNC then keeping your HP up after Meteor is cake.

I knew it was broken! Glad I only wasted 25 mins on the behemoth and left until they fixed it.
