I would stay till I was the last with no probems at all. People who still play love the game.

Really hope they announce a server merge. 4 or 6 servers would be swell. I'd probably resub if it was just that news alone.

free to play is out since last report was they made 10mill a month or a quarter (forget which) from game and the number of new people buying the game is just to low.

Dont know who wrote it or where it came from just wanted to shed a bit of light if anyone is interested in reading it.

Here are my guesses at what will be discussed.

1) Merging of Servers
2) Discontinuing support for PS2 version.
3) PS3 Digital Version of game > PS2 to PS3 upgrade
4) Lowering Subscription Fees or Free to Play with micropay implementation.
5) Upgrade of graphics for Xbox 360/PS3 version so they are on par with PC graphics. 720P/1080P display. (wishful thinking but this would be cool)
6) Raising Level Cap: Maybe Level 120?
7) Revamping content/world to be more current overall across the board. Similar to how WoW did.
8) Pacing of game to increase similar to FFXIV. Speed/pacing/cooldown timers etc to be a lot faster.
9) 60 FPS support. This would be sweet if this could happen. This was supposed to be implemented on PC a long time ago but it never happened.

Just my 2 cents. Or I could be completely wrong and they will talk about how they are discontinuing the game for good after a short while. Wouldn't be surprised since game is doing pretty bad.

It's too bad they already announced that they're nerfing Samurai in the March update.

Only with numbers. And if it's done badly they'll probably lose the community that's been there all these years.

As long as they don't lock people out of repeatable content with a charge system I'm fine with all of this other kinds of stuff.

What most surprises me is that people think they will turn FFXI into a f2p.

Sorry but that does not make sense at all due to any income from FFXI right now is pure profit, they covered their cost a long time now and for that. It's one of their "cash cows", so no I do not think FFXI will be free.

I'm placing my bets on the streaming being similar to Vanadiel Digest(sp?) In which they will talk about 2Hand update, mog garden update, JA abilities, Rudra nerf, Vagary, life adjustments and others.

It does not bother me personally, but I do see a big breasted avatar on nearly every scroll down through this thread.

It's pretty much that way on every thread where Fonewear posts.

I cant say f2P is impossible but highly unlikely, they need to introduce a market system simalr to Cartel market of Star Wars

this late into the game i dont see that happening.

shutting down temp to enhance graphics COULD happen but again i highly doubt it, i think if they shut it down ppl would just stop caring... tho idk...

it defiantly wont be the end and some point there will be a year roadmap for sure.

wouldnt mind them lowering fees tho i think that would help ppl come back.

I really hope they don't region split. My account in NA, but I live in SEA now. That would turn the servers into ghost towns for Aussies / Kiwis and other SEA english speaking folks. What about Europe? The game isn't just JP and NA.
