RIP Robin Williams
wow, killed himself. one of the last people I'd have thought would ever do that
Quote: Veteran film and television comedic actor Robin Williams was found dead on Monday. He was 63. The cause of death is believed to be suicide via asphyxiation, according to the coroner’s office in Tiburon, Calif. He was found in his home. His publicist said the actor had been battling depression of late. “This is a tragic and sudden loss,” his publicist Mara Buxbaum said in a statement. “The family respectfully asks for their privacy as they grieve during this very difficult time.” Williams is best known for both comedic and dramatic roles in movies including Good Will Hunting, for which he won a Best Supporting Actor in 1997. In addition, he won several Emmys, Golden Globes. Williams’ film career was bookended by TV roles including his breakout role on the ABC sitcom Mork & Mindy in 1978. He returned to TV on CBS last season, The Crazy Ones. more to come… Depression is an awful thing :(

Yeah it's all over the news. People on Facebook are saying it's a hoax, but sadly I don't think that's the case.
R.I.P. Robin Williams, one of my all-time favorites. it's really sad though, grew up with his movies/voice. Genie from Aladdin, Jumanji... :(
I loved his movies. I remember watching Mrs. Doubtfire over and over as a kid :*( Bahamut.Baconwrap said: » I loved his movies. I remember watching Mrs. Doubtfire over and over as a kid :*( Robin Williams was one of the cleaner comedians, and yes I know he had some..ahem..naughty moments in some of his movies. I grew up in the 90's, that meant watching movies like Mrs. Doubtfire, Patch Adams, Jumanji, and Flubber. I LOVED Flubber as a kid. I'm sure there are several other movies I watched, many probably animated and I didn't even know he contributed a voice to a character. It sucks to see the great actors, comedians, and artists passing on because they cannot be replaced. R.I.P. Wow... that just ruined my day. =/
Shocked, one of the great comedic actors of my generation. Goes to show no matter how much money a person has, depression or mental illness does not discriminate against anyone. RIP Robin /sadface
This is such a WTF moment for me.
It reminds me of a poem / song. YouTube Video Placeholder Quote: And Richard Cory, one calm summer night, Went home and put a bullet through his head. Tragic, may he rest in peace though, a great inspiration growing up.

He's definitely up there with Lucille Ball for family quality comedy. Considering he was the star role in "What Dreams May Come," this comes as a bit of a surprise.

One of the most impressionable actors I've ever seen. You will be missed/remembered. R.I.P. =(
Somebody mentioned Patch Adams, lol.
I remember the very first time I was in jail and they do that intake thing, and one of questions was "Do you hear voices in your head?" And I just started to laugh. "I'm sorry I said, but that question just reminded me of Patch Adams that I saw for the first time the other night." The nurse starting laughing too. Then we proceeded to talk about the movie for another 10 minutes, lol. Considering his early career and penchant for cocaine use. Not really surprising. Love me some Robin Williams such a sad lost.

Dark Robin Williams was best Robin Williams =( fonewear said: » Good Will Hunting has to be my favorite Robin Williams movie. Like many others, Williams' movies were in my childhood and won't be forgotten easily. I think we can all remember making flubber in elementary school science classes.
One thing that will always make me smile though isn't from his movies, but that he was an avid gamer. I can always laugh a little that he got away with naming his daughter Zelda. |
