The ballista known issue is referring to "Hyper-Mode" where if players die 3x in a row without returning to spawn point whilst having most JA used up, you get a flurry of overpowering items, if quarried near rooks or close to them.

I just saw somebody's Wyvern running at flee speed. I went and changed my subjob to THF and whacked flee on then used Spirit Link and cried because Wuffi was still slow.

Anyone know how he did this? New bug maybe? I want flee Wyvern...

I'm personally amazed they even care at this point. When was the last time anything related to ballista was included in the update notes?
