Here in Valefor, there is a level 30 WHM who has been seeking in Cape Teriggan non stop for as long as I can remember (I heard it has been months). His search comment says something in Japanese, which I cannot translate. My question is can anyone translate what this guys search comment says, and what could he possibly be doing?!
He's waiting for his long lost Maiden to arrive at shore.

I can tell you what he's doing in Cape Terrigan, though: de-leveling. Every now and then I see him in a party leveling up, and then he goes to Cape Terrigan and de-levels back to 30. Why, I don't know, but that's what he does.

I play on an xbox so can't log it, but squinting at the comment, I *think* it reads:

Copying kana from wikipedia, leaving off the desu:
でこま(kanji)つてまらえない desu ; ;

"reberu" in third line was written in katakana - rest looked to be hiragana with some kanji. I might have gotten some of the diacritics wrong; it's hard for me to see if it's be or ze, for example. Also, guessing at spacing; my japanese is {Too Weak}.

... Maybe he's trying to "Iron Man" solo to 99? Like if he dies, he delevels himself all the way down to 30 and starts again?
If there were any benefits to EXPing outside Abyssea from lvl 30, say level syncing then AF burning or something, he could be doing that to keep on offering the right sync lvl to start a group with.

Maybe his linkshell told him he has to level whm, and this is his way of saying nope. I wouldn't have put it past some of the people in my past linkshells to pretend to level a job they didn't like, then delevel it so they wouldn't have to play it. xD

JP have weird sense of humor, maybe it's just a mule and he plays for real on another account. Maybe he likes playing white mage at level 30 and helps other people who actually "level" instead of abyssea burn it out with partying w/them (hard to find a WHM nowadays who actually has skill)
maybe he is testing the adage if you stay right where you are eventually people will come to you

Ird is a Tiamat mule off and on, camped against them for a long while.
Tiamat spawns in Cape T now? Damn, no wonder I can't find him in Attowa anymore.
^ What Krishpy said, this is the 2nd mule of Milea the JP PLD with burt/aegis/etc. H he has another one, but I forget the name, it's something similar to Milea. It used to be in the 40-50s about 7-8 months ago before he stopped.
I seen worse.. people afking almost 24/7 the entire month, @ port jeuno at the same spot (by AH stairs). I don't know why they keep paying monthly fee if they don't play. Fun thing is that they keep logging on and leaving their character afk after any maintenance.
