This. Also I find it kinda funny that some people seems to count sets based on another with only 1-2 slots changed for a JA as a completely different set.

BLU/DNC? OK, take a subjob that's going to gimp your DD output and show a parse where somebody beat you to prove BLU isn't the best DD! Yup, totally scientific!

Interesting in one case you say less dependent on support jobs yet criticize so hard for /dnc. And if blu is as good as you're saying I shouldn't need /war to win should I?

Well, feel free to show some testing of your own if you have an AG Tizona/Almace blu and don't like the way I went about it. It's easy to sit back and simply make claims.

lol BLU CAN HAVE a reason to have each set you just posted, enfeebling can be called MACC set. You really sound like you have no idea what you're talking about in this thread man.
ftfy.

So you and Nightfire play in a world where BLU is expected to do all that at the same time?

I think you guys are the ones who have no idea what you're talking about.

The only job that plays like RDM is RDM. Perhaps you don't know enough about RDM.

And this is what bandwagon blu's do. You will never know the troubles of building physical casting sets tailored to the spell.

I have quite a few sets and I'm pretty sure I'm missing some.

Physical casting max potency
Physical casting acc
physical casting Macc
Magical casting macc
magical casting MAB macc
MAB max casting
magical casting earth MAB
magical casting light MAB
magical casting dark MAB
blue skill max
fast cast
TP melee max haste
TP melee acc
tp melee DW
PDT/DT
MDT/DT
healing self
healing others
Conserve MP
CDC
Requiscat
Expansion
Savage
CA
BA
enhancing magic skill for that /rdm
idle
idle w/ movement speed
PDT w movement speed
TH
about 5 lockstyles LOL.

Now if this was before ilvls you would also have.

Physical casting STR
Physical casting DEX
Physical casting AGI
Physical casting STR/DEX
Physical casting STR/INT
Physical Casting STR/VIT
Physical casting STR/VIT/Defense

So before you go around calling other people bad/no idea how to play blu look at your own blu and ask yourself do I have sets other than CDC/TP/MAB and if you dont STFU. We are playing blu to the maximum of its abilities and have sets to aid in that, are they needed for a lolbandwagonblu? no, do they make soloing/low manning things you cant easier? yes they do.

How does one fit all those sets on one set of 20 macros?

That is very true.

Why would you post a parse of an Ambuscade fight? They take less than 2 minutes total to clear, and 30 seconds is spent not even engaging the mob while buffs are being applied at the start. By all means, I get your point that other jobs like AG SAM and AG THF can compete in damage with an AG BLU, but a 1 min 30 sec Ambuscade isnt very accurate considering the parse shifts drastically depending on who gets in that last WS.

Easy and I play without Spellcast or w/e it is now.

My blu macro book goes.

Line 1) Buffimg spells with the gear set in them.
Line 2) enfeebling spells and stun with macro 1 and 2 being for acc/macc sets
line 3) attacking/healing spells
line 4) tp, CDC and pdt
line 5) other wses
line 6) magical blu spells

Leaves 4 lines spare and I can say I use every one of those sets I listed oh and missing WW set.

Not to mention those physical sets 3k spell is so much better than a 30k cdc.

I think the better question would be why your physical set spell is only doing 3k.

There are plenty of instances of when a physical spellset is useful, when in combination of Efflux and Chain Affinity. For example, if doing Salvage in Bhaflau Remnants, you can Chain Affinity Efflux Burst Affinity < CDC < Sinker Drill < Spectral Floe for some pretty nice damage, since the Cerberus builds physical or magical resistance over time.

I am aware of that, but the question was for 20 macros. Anyway, do you realize how detrimental that would be to your overall performance? Unless you are crazy fast with your fingers and have near perfect eye-hand coordination, you would keep wasting WS damage for flipping through the macro sets considering how fast you get TP.

I would rather make specific sets of 20 macros for different events rather than 6 lines of macros to cover every possible situation and honestly, even the former sounds pretty overwhelming to me, let alone the latter...

That's why I mentioned you could group them together to minimize performance lose.

For example your tp and ws set could be on the same line because its being spammed in melee situations. Then you can have TH set in different lines because you don't need to use it after engage.

You can even have a macro that puts you to the line you want you don't need to scroll up or down. So when haste is about to go down hit the buff line macro hit haste and vice versa. I stick the FC set in before the spell then have the macro change back to tp once the spell starts if it doesn't need blu skill or anything.

Herc trouser has no dex or acc in there before augments and 3 less store tp. " I think" in this case even a samnuha that's 1 ta away from max still wins.

If you play using a keyboard, you can also do shift+alt+# to instantly switch to that macro set. You obviously have to know which sets are which numbers by heart but it's very fast.

Talked with Draylo for a minute (you know because he is always AFK) about phalanx and barrier tusk. Decided to make a chart to compare the values of the two.
Highest obtainable enhancing is 190 with phalanx taeon for BLU/RDM. Every +10 skill is +1 phalanx damage reduction.

Feel free to double check my math.
190 enh with +15 augments should come out to -32 unless I am an idiot.

Oh, and stop with the last couple pages "OP BLU", "Bandwagon BLU", "Look at my ambuscade parses with mspaint I uploaded twice over...BLU isn't OP", etc.
